SENIOR LOCAL GOVERNMENT ADVISOR, Kyiv

U.S.-Ukraine Foundation

The U.S.-Ukraine Foundation's USAID-funded Community Partnerships for Local Government Training and Education Project seeks:

Responsibilities include:

·         Work with Project Director to provide leadership and oversight of a continuing two-year partnership and training         program between US and Ukrainian cities focused on sustainable innovation in Ukrainian local government
·         Manage team of Ukrainian professional municipal development advisors, work with Project Director to liaise with          Washington headquarters on program execution
·         Provide expertise to participating cities and training delegations to promote fulfillment of project goals
·         Prepare internal and external written reports, including documentation of appropriate progress on USAID-mandated         performance indicators


Requirements include:
·         US citizenship
·         Fluency in Ukrainian preferred, or Russian with a willingness to learn written/spoken Ukrainian
·         Strong management, teamwork and organizational skills
·         Minimum 3 years experience in US local government, experience in economic development a plus
·         Previous experience with USAID-funded technical assistance projects desirable
