ANNOUNCEMENT
To
reinforce our international communications activities, WWF, the conservation
organization, is looking for an experienced professional in public relations and
media work for the post of:
COMMUNICATIONS
COORDINATOR
to
be based in Vienna, Austria
The
main responsibilities will be to:
-
develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy and
information campaigns, highlighting and advancing the agenda of the WWF
Danube-Carpathian Programme Office, with projects in 14 Central and Eastern
European countries, from Austria to the Black Sea and from Poland to Croatia;
-
liaise with communicators and fundraisers of other WWF offices;
-
establish and maintain relationships with media in Central and Eastern
European countries;
-
oversee the production of all information material of the WWF DCPO,
including web content, TV and video productions, radio broadcasts, printed
materials, and press releases;
-
provide up-to-date media training and capacity building on communications
issues to our local stakeholders and partners.
The
main qualifications and experience required are:
-
a minimum of 3 years' experience in journalism or public relations and
respective training, preferably including internet, electronic and print media;
-
the ability to conceptualise and implement communications and public
relations projects;
-
ability to interact at higher international levels;
-
excellent communications, organisational and interpersonal skills;
-
an excellent command of English and good oral German communication,
ideally with a good knowledge of other languages, e.g. of Eastern Europe, or
French;
-
a strong interest in and commitment to the conservation goals of WWF.
