Originally it entered service in the time of the Old Republic, this aging cruiser has been in fleets all over the galaxy. The Empire and the New Republic had to construct hanger bays on these vessels enabling them to hold one starfighter squadron. 200 of these vessels were in the Katana Fleet which was largely captured by Grand Admiral Thrawn five years after Endor. There sublight speed barely matches that of the Victory Star Destroyer. It is commonly seen in the Outer Rim territories and escorting supply convoys. Several of these vessels have been transformed into Assault Frigates.
