Between Endor and the release of the MC-90 the Mon Calamari constructed a warship of significant firepower. It is a refitted MC-80a, however it has increased shielding than its predecessor. The Mon Remonda was the first such vessel of these to be created. In addition to a reinforced hull and backup shield generator it can hold up to eight starfighter squadrons-although originally supposed to carry a mere four squadrons. However the MC-80B can still only be piloted by a Mon Calamari bridge crew and the air is unusually damp, making it quite uncomfortable for non Mon Calamari. The MC-80B is a powerful warship that lacks raw fire power but makes up with that in shielding and starfighter squadrons.
