Quasar Fire carriers are modified SoroSuub Quasar Fire-class bulk cruisers that served with distinction in the Virgillian Civil War. The Sullustans donated several of these stripped down vessels to the Virgillian Alignment and the Virgillians in turn gave a handful to the New Republic. The cargo bracket has been removed and has been replaced with a single hanger bay. Complete repair and maitenance facilities are in behind the main flight deck. An astromech droid is placed at each of the two turbolasers to help with targeting telementry and a single astromech droid is on the bridge to help with navigation and control. Over half of the crew is devoted to starfighter maitenance and repair. The carrier's mission profile is to deliver starfighters into a combat situation and then retreat to a safe distance.
