The X-Wing is the mainstay of the New Republic's starfighter arsenal. Designed by Incom, it was brought before the Alliance by the command staff of Incom who wished to defect. The lasers targeting spread is wider to increase hits on enemy starfighters however the TIE pilots have found safety between lasers. The X-Wing is also an excellent fighter in the atmosphere of a planet. The X-Wing has become the trademark fighter of the New Republic. This starfighter also outmatches its prototype with a speed rating of 10 instead of 8.
