MY RPMS PAGE
In this page you will be able to d/l a few of my rpms. These are not
(mostly) programs which I made, but programs which I packaged in to rpms.
I am trying to install all my programs in rpm's instead of putting files
where ever I want, it is more to restore damaged boex this way and it looks
better. I also give you the opportunity to install those packages without
the ugly need of compiling. sometimes...
I have also started a project for linmodems support, in which I packaged
a 2.4.18 linux kernel, and a few linmodem drivers, among other cool stuf...
The rpm's can be installed in Mandrake's and RedHat's (I think Mandrake
above 8, and RedHat above 7) without much problems. See the readme in the
directory of the rpm's for more information. The url for it is: ftp://iglu.org.il/pub/Hebrew/diego
.
The packges were compiled on a Mandrake 8.1 and should work on Mandrake
8.1 and above, and RedHat 7.2 and above. Other distros are welcome to report.
BIDITEXT
I have a working set of biditext rpms here. I tried to use the latest fribidi
but it somehow messes up the display. This older rpm works flawlesly
with hebrew, I would like to know about arabic as well.
- fribidi-0.1.14-1.i586.rpm [37KB]
This library does the real work canginf from logical to visual hebrew/arabic.
I Tryied installing a newer version but all I see is squares in the screen.
I will put a newer rpm as soon as I get it to work.
- r2l-1.0.0-5.i586.rpm [75KB]
This is the exact package that Tzafrir distributes. This package contains
biditext
And now to the good stuff....
- Tribal_Masks_Login_Images-1-1.i686.rpm
[221KB]
This rpm contains log in images of tribal masks, which can be used in
kdm for example. The images were written by <>.
When installing, please use --noarch, since this is a no arch rpm.
- kde-dotnet-style-1-1.i686.rpm
[21k]
This rpm contains the kde style that emulates the look of MS dot.net
programs, by <>. This package contains the patch I applied for bidi
desktops. This binary was compiled in a Mandrake 8.1 using kde3.01. It
may work on kde3.0 but don't count on it.
- kde-luna-widgetstyle-kwindecoration-1-1.i686.rpm
[438KB]
This rpm contains a style (kwin + widgets) that emulates the look of
MS Windows XP. I found it on http://www.kdelook.org. It should work on every
kde3, since it contains only pictures. This package should be installed with
--noarch, since it not contains any code.
- kde_xpStyle-1-1.i686.rpm
[312KB]
Another widgets style that emulates the look of MS Windows XP, but this
one looks better IMHO. This package only installed widgets styles, and not
kwin style. This package should be installed with --noarch, since it not
contains any code.
- kde_xp_icontheme-1-1.i686.rpm
[3.5MB]
If you are looking for the XP look, you might also want to install the
XP icon set. This icon set will make Konqueror's icons look like IE icons.
Just for the final touch, it looks good to install this package as well...
This package should be installed with --noarch, since it not contains any
code.
- ksplashml-0.95.2-1.i586.rpm
[776KB]
This one is one of the most killer app's I have seen outside the kde
main tree. It replaces the kde's default splash screen and installs a high
configurable one. You have a kcontrol module which lets you kontrol how
the splash screen looks for each user: you have a default view, kde's standard,
a Mac look and XP look. You can also install themes in runtime. Very good
app. http://www.shadowcom.net/Software/ksplash-ml/
- kopete-0.4.1-1.i586.rpm
[1.1MB]
A very powerfull instant messenger for kde enviromets. I could not use
the irc plugin, and I am not sure about the MSN plug in. The ICQ plugin
works quite good though.
