The only official TR2 patch is designed to fix a problem if the game CD is accessed continuously on some PC's. Go to Tombraiders.com to find more information or more specific video hardware patches.
Macintosh TR2 patches:
| Tomb Raider 3 Patch |
The TR3 patch fixes: a memory leak bug which causes random crashing and/or missing textures, invisible doors in some levels, location looping, some AWE64 sound issues.
Note: Savegame files for some levels (specifically Temple Ruins, Coastal Village and Temple of Puna) will not load after installing this patch.

The TR-TLR patch fixes: ability to remap movement keys, sound issues for PCI 128 Creative Labs cards that use DirectX 7, game will now run on PCs that do not have a sound card; increase to 15 savegame slots, ability to create a shortcut to the program file on your desktop, some corruption issues in 32-bit mode.
Note: PC Savegame files made with the original game will not load after installing this patch.
The Macintosh Last Revelation patch fixes a bug that causes crashes immediately on startup, as well as various graphics issues.
You may need to install an updated version of Microsoft DirectX for your game to run correctly. For TR-The Last Revelation use DirectX 6.1 or higher.

Want to watch the Tomb Raider movies? You know, the cut-scenes included on the game CD's - the FMV movies that you see between levels. There is an FMV player available that allows you to view just these movies, and you can download it from the Croft Times:
