Hey, I've taken my first step into collaging (making desktop wallpaper from scanned images)! My friend Moe311 always used to be the guy who was great at these. I was good at the vidcapping and montaging and stuff (taking frames from video and making desktop wallpaper). Anyway, I think it came out pretty decent for my first try and, to be honest, looks a bit better than a vidcap montage as wallpaper... scanned images are just better quality, I think. Anyway, I've added the collage to the newly created Wallpapers page in the Miscellaneous pictures section. Added to the Maxim page: shd_Dina_Meyer.jpg. Added to the Movie Premieres page: OU024985.jpg Btw, I've gotta figure out a better way to work these links out. Whenever I create a link to any page in the Media section, it appears without the navbar at the right because the link is bypassing the page that sets up those frames. I know it's possible to make these pages more intelligent using javascript, but I'm still getting into it so the page is gonna have to remain a bit on the dumb side till now. You're just gonna have to get to the media section subpages the hard way until I can learn. :)
The montage from episode 11 of Secret Agent Man, titled "T.K.O. Henry," is now online in the media section. Very hot one! I'll get to episode 12 as soon as I can but the episode that I missed, number 8, is also coming on UPN this Friday so that'll be one more to add to the to-do list. I might be starting a new job soon so I don't know how much energy I'll have until I get situated and such. Stay tuned. I want to let everyone know that the links in the old updates on this page are going to be offline until I can get them changed over to the site's new directory format. I don't think it really matters anyway, though, because you guys probably follow along with these updates week-by-week and probably don't browse through them very often, right?
How do you like the site's new design? Pretty good, huh? Well, I'm no web designer you understand. My creative skills have pretty much only surfaced in my writing so far and I've never really been able to draw a straight line, however I do think I managed to come up with something that at least looks a bit better than my last three-year-old design. :) I've grouped several of the old site's sections together (particularly the media sections...pictures, sounds, etc.) to make everything smaller and more tightly grouped. The navigation is pretty easy to figure out, I think. There's a side navigation bar that takes you to the main sections of the site. Once there, the top grey bar acts as a sub menu, with the exception of the extremely large picture section, which has it's own sub menu along the right side of the page and then uses the top bar as a "sub-sub" menu, if you follow my drift...(just look around a bit and you'll get the idea ;). Since this is a new design and absolutely every html page I've got on this site (and that would be A LOT of them) has been changed, you have to understand that there are going to be bugs here and there. I already know that the page doesn't display exactly right in netscape right now. I'll be working on fixing that in the near future but for right now it looks relatively okay. If you happen to notice any bugs at all, please let me know. I appreciate it.
Finally, finally, FINALLY we've got some news!!! A little check over at the IMDb shows me that Dina's name is now listed under the cast of a new movie called "Devil Wore A Skirt" which is now filming in Vancouver. A short plot outline follows: "A journey of three beautiful, young people and a highly sophisticated killer who plays cat and mouse with their lives." (How come I'm hearing this from the IMDb of all places? What happened to my crack team of info rats? :) This is really good news, I think, because my blood still seems to race whenever I hear some new news about Dina's career. I'm definitely still interested in her, aren't you? I've been having doubts because it's been so quiet around these parts for so long. Anyway, here's to hoping this movie makes its way into theaters! Stay tuned for more updates on this project folks. P.S. It seems that D-Tox has undergone yet another name change. It's now called "Eye See You." No word whether or not they've improved the movie at all since those test screenings I reported last year. If they have, I hope they've at least left Dina's scenes in the movie. :) I've updated the filmography page. P.P.S. I promise I'll get to those last two episodes of SAM sometime this weekend. I think those might, in fact, be the last two of the entire show so I don't think we'll be seeing anything on UPN besides reruns.
Click here for the montage from episode 10 of Secret Agent Man, titled "Fail-Safe."
Well whatdoya know, I managed to finish the montage for last week's episode before this week's aired. Click here for the montage from episode 9 of Secret Agent Man, titled "Uncle S.A.M."
Click here for the montage from episode 7 of Secret Agent Man, titled "The Face." Sorry it took so long, I know I've been slacking off. Life gets busy. I actually missed Episode 8 altogether so there won't be a montage from that. Sorry. :\
And here is the montage from last week's Secret Agent Man, episode "The Elders."
Well I FINALLY got my copy of Nowhere Land on DVD in the mail and I've hurried up and montaged it for you guys. Check out the Nowhere Land page to see them. Note: You'll have to give me a bit of a breather until I can do the latest montage from Secret Agent Man.
Secret Agent Man returns! So says UPN's website. Two new episodes are slated to be aired, the first one beginning on Friday, May 26th at 9pm and the second on June 2, so stay tuned for the montages from those episodes.
Again, when I'm bored, I turn to AltaVista. I happened upon Epguides.com thinking they would have some info on WHEN the rest of the SAM episodes would begin airing...and they did. They are supposed to begin airing at the end of May (specifically, May 26, according to our Dina On TV link), but you have to understand that this is VERY tentative. I won't know for sure until we start seeing the promos on UPN itself. Stay tuned.
Well, well, well, well, well...got a bit of news here, folks. It seems that Nowhere Land has finally been picked up for video and DVD release! And, yep, yep, it does seem that they are releasing an "unrated" version...and you know what that means... Well, er--it means that it's unrated. ;P It'll be available on May 16th so go ahead and place your pre-orders at your favorite online video store (like Reel.com) right away! :)
Well, turns out since they've canceled SAM they've also taken the remaining episodes off the air schedule for the time being. I guess they're just gonna throw them on during the summer, but I guess there's no guarantee that even that will happen. If they do appear, I'll be sure to cap them. Oh well, sorry guys. I've also heard that Universal is pushing back the release date for D-Tox to 2001 so that one won't be out for a LONG time to come. Again, oh well. So, I guess that takes care of all of Dina's completed and as-of-yet unreleased projects. Guess she's pretty much got a free schedule on her hands, so she's probably bound to pick up with some new projects any time soon. Man, I really wish I could do more than just guess here, but you guys all know that I have no "official" access in the way of that kind of info. Guess we'll just have to return to our normal lives and wait for some new news to show up on our doorsteps. Here's to hoping she gets something good going. (And the same for me... I really need an agent, bad. ;)
This week's montage from SAM turned out a bit on the contrasty side. Sorry, but I didn't have much choice.
Oh, well, I've gone and received bad news. As much as I'd hate to admit it officially, UPN is "shelving" Secret Agent Man. According to a loyal visitor to our little site here, apparently, it's UPN's least watched show, 164th out of 174 series averaging 2.1 million viewers. The remaining 9 episodes will be "burned off" this summer, so I will, of course, cap those. Well, I guess the good news is that Dina's free to persue other projects. Life goes on, right? You just wait. Dina'll go and do some kick ass project that really blows us away!
Hmm...this week's montage of SAM didn't turn out too well. Not much meet on dem bones, if ya know what I mean. Oh well, I did my best. :)
I think this is my favorite montage from SAM yet.
Added four new scans by Florican to the FHM page (half-way down the page). They're basically just larger versions of the previous pics, in case anybody wanted them. :)
Man, this one was really hard to do. While I was watching it, I was really happy because there were lots of good closeups, but it definitely doesn't help when there aren't enough medium and long shots to balance everything out (and since this is a 1.33 TV aspect ratio, the sides of bodies often get cut off limiting that frame to either the far left or far right of the row). ANYWAY, here's the montage from the latest episode of Secret Agent Man titled "Back To School."
Hot off photoshop, here's my montage from the first episode of Secret Agent Man!
Here are those montages from Bats that I promised. Visit the Bats page to see them. :) Added six vidcaps from the Commercial Preview for SAM. Visit the Secret Agent Man page to see them.
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, YES! By the way, did I say yes? Huge news here for all you starved Dina fans, like me. UPN is premiering Secret Agent Man next Tuesday! Please check your local listings for the correct time, and then go ahead and check my website for the caps after the show premieres. ;) As of yet, I do not know if the show is going for more than twelve episodes. They might just be airing the twelve to see how much of a fanbase they can generate, and then decide from there. If that is the case, they've probably gone ahead and filmed a whole season. It's pretty neat, though, for Dina to even get more than a guest shot on a TV series...this is a starring role. And to top that all off, UPN is being real smart by focusing the ads for the show more on her instead of him (who's him, anyway?). Also, I received six scans from the same contributor who gave us the FHM pics. A big thanks to Dan for these, from Starburst magazine. Go ahead and visit the Secret Agent Man page to see them. And, of course, since Bats was released on home video and DVD, I've rented it and am in the middle of capping it and editing it and all that. I'm hoping to keep the number of montages small this time, that way you guys'll get these sometime this year. :) I'm shooting for this weekend.
Well, every now and then a random search on Altavista when you're bored can turn up results. :) Click here to see my latest find. No idea where it's from, unfortunately. Updated the Miscellaneous page.
Here are those final two pics from FHM. Thanks again to Dan. Visit the FHM page to see them.
By the way, as you've noticed, Tripod has changed their advertisement system to allow us webmasters to choose to embed those ads at the top of our pages instead of using the popup window. I think this makes for so much more of a pleasant webbrowsing experience, so I hope you guys can just ignore them at the top of each page. At least you don't have to close those dumb windows.
Finally, finally we've got some new material, and you know what? You can all thank Dina for it! Yep, she went and did an extremely sexy photoshoot for FHM. Don'tcha love her? Of course you do. Because you don't keep coming back to this site for me and my stupid rants, right? ;) Anyway, our first scans from the mag come to us from Dan, a frequent visitor to the site. Go ahead and visit the FHM page to see what he's got so far. He's promised to send me the final two pics from the mag, and just to make sure he does it, I'm telling you all so that we can put some pressure on him. ;) Just kidding, Dan. Hey, we all appreciate that you were the first to scan these and I also appreciate you telling me about the layout in the first place because I wouldn't have known otherwise. But, hey, I guess that's the nature of the webmaster biz. You guys are my eyes and ears out there. Enjoy these pics from FHM mag.
Found another picture from the Mystery Men premiere on Hollywood.com's site. Visit the Movie Premieres page to see it. (Or, I suppose, you can just click here to go straight to it. That'd be nice and easy for ya. ;)
Wow, so I was just looking through my "working" directory for the site earlier and I noticed a few pictures in the nowhere_land directory that I had totally forgotten all about. I guess I must have downloaded them and stuck them in there and just forgot all about them. (They're from the flashpoint website, so if any of you had followed that link back when I posted it, you might have already seen them.) Anyway, go ahead and visit the Nowhere Land page to see them. :)
Just thought I'd drop this info for those who are curious. Bats will be coming out on video on February 22, 2000 in both DVD and VHS formats. However, the VHS format is priced to rent, not to own (Which means that it costs around $100 because only video stores are meant to buy them and rent them out. The price will come down to $20 later on). Click here to pre-order your copy at Reel.com (or you can, of course, visit your favorite online video store to do that.) If you are planning on owning this one, I'd suggest DVD anyway. :) Also, Stranger Than Fiction will be coming out on DVD on March 21, 2000, and VHS on February 15, 2000. This one, too, will be priced to rent for the VHS version. Honestly, this movie wasn't that bad. I mean, I really really dislike having to say bad things about any movie because I personally know how hard it is to write them, but, of course, sometimes you kind of have no choice. This movie was highly enjoyable for the first forty to sixty minutes (it fell apart after that), and probably worth checking out if you haven't had the opportunity to do so before because it does feature some excellent performances from top-notch actors (especially Dina). Go ahead and click here to pre-order it on DVD.
Little note to drop here, the release date for Detox has apparently been pushed back to September 1, 2000. I've updated the filmography page.
Would you believe that I forgot all about that second set of four montages from Stranger Than Fiction that I promised I was going to do? Okay, I didn't think so. I just kinda put it off and put it off and then all the holidays and such. That's pretty much why there haven't been any updates lately. That and the fact that it's a pretty dry time for new Dina material, and I know we're all hurtin' but, hey, you gotta live with it, right? Hey, since I'm all on my soap box here, I might as well tell you all--I mean, you one--what I'm doing with my life. If you bother to check this page on a regular basis, like I do for some reason, then I figure maybe you'll be interested. I'm a writer, a screenwriter. Well, not yet of course. Right now I'm pretty much an out of work young adult (such an awkward pronoun, don'tcha think?) who has some very strong aspirations toward being a screenwriter. And the difference between me and most other guys working at some fastfood restaurant (not that that's me) who want to be screenwriters is that I've got a finished script under my belt, and I'm already halfway through my second one. Hey, maybe some day Dina will star in it, huh? Yeah, I know, I'm laughing too. I guess you have to have a sense of humor if you want to work in Hollywood though, so who knows, maybe I'll survive, and maybe some day you'll see my movie. Anyway, until the day comes when I can provide entertainment for mass audiences on the big screen, I guess I'll just have to get along providing entertainment to you all on the internet screen. Speaking of that, go visit the Stranger Than Fiction page to check out the second set of four (5-8) montages from that movie. And please enjoy them. And, hell, if you do, please email me and let me know because it's been a hell of a long time since I severely removed myself from the online world to concentrate on my writing and stopped receiving any email, I'm not even sure my email program works anymore (and that sentence was not meant to be taken metaphorically!). |
