Welcome To DM-One's Online Guide to "New Mickey Mouse Club" Collectibles

While you wait for the page to finish loading, note that all of these items have from time to time been up for bids at eBay -- how else was I able to come up with so many captured pics? -- so you'll want to use the following Search terms in your hunt, and be sure to click the checkbox next to Search Descriptions:

· New Mickey Mouse Club
· Mickey Mouse Club
· Mouse Club
· Mouseketeer
· Mouseketeers
· Disco Mouse (You'll most often come up with the "Mickey Mouse Disco" LP that was released in 1979. Avoid it, as the "Disco Mouse" song isn't part of the album, just keep an eye out for the 45 single instead.)

Note: this page is best viewed at 800x600 resolution.
1950's and 1990's Mickey Mouse Club pins

Before we start, here's a hint of what NOT to look out for -- the pinback buttons to the left (from L to R) represent the logos of the original televised 1950's "Mickey Mouse Club" (with Annette Funicello), and the more recent 1990's Disney Channel-exclusive "Mickey Mouse Club" (with Keri Russell, Britney Spears, Deedee Lynn Magno, 'NSYNC's Justin Timberlake & JC Chasez).

1970's Mickey Mouse Club pin

To the right is a pinback button representing the logo of 1977's "New Mickey Mouse Club" -- the focus of this guide and the main thing to spot when hunting for NMMC merchandise. Note the key distinguishing characteristic is "MICKEY MOUSE CLUB" in the white block letters. Sometimes variants of the logo can be found with these traits: yellow colored letters, yellow background behind Mickey's head, or Mickey's face and tounge are white instead of flesh-tone and red, respectively -- this last example was most commonly seen on the New Mouseketeers' costumes. Trivia: this logo is a merger of the red ring and Mickey head configuration -- though not precisely duplicated, as the ring is thicker and Mickey is drawn differently -- from the 50's logo, with lettering that was first used as the masthead font for the Disney-published newsletter distributed to the 1930's nationwide "Mickey Mouse Clubs" -- in short, the 70's logo, though relatively new, is also a tribute to its two predecessors.
