Jim Russell Racing School
May, 1999
After talking about it (to myself, at least) for 20 years, I finally
enrolled at the Jim Russell Racing School at Mont Tremblant, Quebec. I took the Grand Prix
course which comprised three days of F1600 and two days of F2000.
Located 85 miles north of Montreal, the school is held at the Circuit
Mont Tremblant, where the Canadian F1 Grand Prix was held from 1963 to 1971.
I was thoroughly pleased with all aspects of the course.
The class size was
small and the instructors and staff were all very professional. It is easy to understand why the school can
take credit for producing some of the top Indy and F1 drivers racing today. Complete information
is available at the link below.

Circuit Mont Tremblant. The school used the short course, about 1.25 miles. Good times were under 1:20. My best was 1:27.
