The Crucible
There are witches about in Salem, Massachusetts and they must all be found and brought to their scraggly knees in court! Well, that's what a group of girls lead the Court of Salem to believe when they get caught dancing in the forest and performing questionable rituals. Based on a true story, and adapted from Arthur Miller's play, 'The Crucible' describes how lunatic the infamous witch-hunt in the 17th century was like. It's generally a good story with fine acting, but frankly, the characters seem somewhat artificial. The emotions of the film are generally non-existent, the film is rather a walk-through of Salem, Massachusetts' mishaps. View only if you want an American History lesson or, for some reason, are a fan of Arthur Miller. To many, it would be wholly unappealing.
