A terribly low-brow film that partially redeems itself through its enjoyable top-notch cast. Elijah Wood stars as the "perfect kid" who excels in sports, academics, arts and manners. Everybody in the world appreciates him; that is, except for his parents. So he divorces them and sets out to find new ones. However, in the event that he isn't in his new parent's arms by Labor Day, he gets sent to an orphanage. It ought to be enough to please the kiddies, but parent's don't have much to look forward to. The jokes and the plot are pathetic, but the wide range of stars are otherwise worth the while.
