The Waterboy

When it's all said and done, "The Waterboy" is another incredibly stupid Adam Sandler comedy. However, what makes this film different from other Sandler outings is that this one is actually funny! Sandler is a stuttering Louisiana hillbilly who works for college football teams as the water boy. He takes his job extremely seriously, but the football players keep making fun of him. One day, Sandler released all this built up anger and turns out to be one mean tackler. The supporting cast filled with interesting characters played by professional actors serves this film extremely well. Henry Winlker as the meek, mentally unstable football coach and Kathy Bates as Sandler's overprotective mother are, perhaps, this film's greatest asset.
