"Two hundred..." I watched a car pass by and disappear quickly. "Two hundred and one", I counted. The night was so peaceful, quiet and lonely... Turning back to my journal, to finish the last And only sentence, I wrote, "I am hopelessly bored." "Two hundred and two" I mouthed the number as another van zoomed by. Time passed some more. The clock on my monitor screen read 4:40 a.m. "What will it take to break this feeling of helplessness? Perhaps the caring words of that special someone, yet I had read all that there was and there was no more, ever... How I wished things to be different. Some tires rolled over the cold wet road again. "Two hundred and three, two hundred and four", I said dryly trying very hard to suppress any emotion within. It hurts if I didn't. The hard drive spun, crackled and the red LED flickered for a sec. "This really sucks," I concluded one more time! "Two hundred and five at 4:43 a.m. and counting." |
