Olympic Airways  Boeing 747-200

Location: Montreal International Airport, Dorval, Quebec

Back in 1999 Olympic Airways alternated its Boeing 747 and Airbus A340 on the Montreal and Toronto run putting hte larger 747 on during the more heavily travelled summer period and then switching to the smaller A340 during the winter months. The 747, "Olympic Peace" shown above flew on to Toronto before returning to pick up Montrealers before heading back to Athens. Their fleet of Boeing 747s was eventually replaced by the smaller Airbus A340s which hold less passengers but offer greater nonstop range and better economics than the aging 747-200 classics shown in the icture above.
