Angelique Collinsplayed by: (purple_angelic)Angelique, in one form or another, has been on Earth intermittently for over 500 years. Her first experience as a witch was under the direction and protective wing of an evil and nefarious warlock named Judah Zachary. Known by the name of Miranda, she quickly rose in the ranks of Judah's coven and was deemed a natural, and Judah's favorite. But things began to sour when Judah became infatuated with the wife of a newly prospering family named Penelope Collins. Angelique, angry and driven to vengeful doings for being pushed aside, quickly found her own opportunity to exact her revenge. Seeking out the religious Puritan authorities, Miranda denounced all of Judah's |
Soon afterward, Miranda realized the mistake she had made. She knew Judah's powers and feared them as much as the Puritans feared witchcraft. Begging for protection, Miranda was secretly escorted out of the country, and her request to be taken underground by the Dark Lord himself was granted and she stayed there for many years. When the time came that Miranda was ready to once again walk among mortals, she was reborn under the name of Angelique Bouchard. With a new identity, a new chance at life, and a new body, Miranda now felt safe. But the Dark Lord was careful she not forget what she truly was, and strategically placed her with a mother that would teach her the best of black magic and voodoo. Since this new life, Miranda never called herself anything but Angelique for fear of being discovered by a restored Judah.
Over the following centuries, Angelique's temper, her self-involved jealous nature, and rash and often cruelly vengeful spellcasting has gotten her into trouble over and over. She lost many things, but nothing hurt more than the loss of her one true love, Barnabas Collins, when she led his fiance Josette to her death at Widows Hill. Years, decades, centuries passed before Barnabas and Angelique at last made amends and tried one last time to become a happily married couple. She gave up her powers, and together with Julia Hoffman and T. Eliot Stokes, Barnabas was cured of the curse she inflicted on him years ago, his vampirism. She tries to ignore Barnabas's dedication to Julia and Julia's love for her husband for the sake of this new chance at love.
But now Judah has returned, threatening everything she had worked so hard to accomplish. Should she defeat Judah, all she has left to look forward to is returning to the Dark Lord once her mortal husband dies and is laid to rest . . .
