 Barnes, Westall In the same house where his wife already lay dead.  Westall H. Barnes aged nearly 80 passed away about 3 O'clock Sunday afternoon, December 27, 1908 at his home on Lawn Ave.  His wife died about 33 hours before her husband.  A double funeral will be held Tuesday morning at 10 with J. Harry Johnston

 Crossland, William age 83 years of Lemont died Wednesday February 9, 1972 in the Uniontown Hospital at 4:15 PM.  He was born in Uniontown May 20, 1888 the son of the late John and Mary (Vernon) Crossland.  He was a veteran of WW1.  Surviving are his wife Margaret (Ramage) Crossland; two children Charles of Cleveland Ohio: Donald of Lemont. Three step daughters Mrs. Charles (Linda) Jacobs of Lemont, Mrs. Claude (Doris) Belshe of the state of Kansas and Mrs. Paul (Thelma) Ryan of Lemont.: Two step sons William Hall, and George E Hall both of Cleveland Ohio: Fifteen grandchildren: Two great grandchildren one sister Mrs. Nora Cassidy of Willoughby, Ohio.  Friends will be received in the Burhans Funeral Home Dunbar.  Interment in Sylvan Heights Cemetery Uniontown

 Crossland, Margaret Ellen (Ramage)  Age 74 years of Lemont Furnace, Pa died in the Fazio Nursing Home Markleysburg. Thursday February 15, 1979.  She was born on February 3, 1905 the daughter of the late Christopher and Rebecca (Fuller) Ramage.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son Wilbert Hull Jr... her first husband Wilbert Hall and her second husband William Crossland.  She is survived by three daughters Mrs. Claude (Doris) Belshe of Colby, Kansas.  Mrs. Thelma Ryan of Uniontown, and Mrs. Charles (Linda) Jacobs Horsham, Pa; three sons George Edward Hull of Brooklyn, Ohio.  Charles W Crossland of Cleveland Ohio. and Donald F Crossland of Lemont. 17 grandchildren 7 great grandchildren one sister Mrs. Erman (Nora) Hoff of Coolspring: one brother George Ramage of Coolspring.  Funeral services under direction of Oats Funeral Home, Uniontown. Interment in Sylvan Heights cemetery, Uniontown.

  Barnes C. Springer-age 77  years of Battle Creek Michigan died Thursday afternoon. May 7, 1970. A resident of Battle Creek for over 50 years.  He was born in Menallen Township, Fayette Count Pennsylvania December 28, 1892 son of Oliver and Alice Grimes Barnes. Surviving are a daughter Mrs. Kenneth (Leona)  Leatherman of Battle Creek Michigan; 4 grand children; 5 great grand children; three brothers Clayton of South Uniontown. Thomas  of Youngwood and Earl of RD #4 Uniontown.  He was preceded in death by two brothers Oscar in 1934 and Walter in 1969.  Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later.

   Bryner, Thelma R. age 79 of Dunbar died Saturday Jan. 8, 1994, in Butler, Pa. Memorial Hospital, Butler,Pa.  She was a homemaker, member of Franklin Memorial United Methodist Church in Dunbar and its Quilter's Group and star Bible Class, and The Dames of Malta in Connellsville.  She is survived by two sons, Richard L. Bryner of New Mexico and Frederick A. "Fred" Bryner of Monrovia, Md.; one daughter, Norma Newcomer of Butler; two brothers, Ray C. Smitley of Hopwood and Norman J. Smitley of Carmichaels; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James I. "Jim" Bryner in 1991; a sister Dorothy M. Papula; and a grandson, Richard L. Bryner Jr.  Friends will be received in the BURHANS-CROUSE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Connellsville St., Dunbar today from 7 to 9 PM, Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm, and Wednesday in Franklin Memorial United Methodist Church, Dunbar from 10 am to 11 am, with Rev. Joseph P. Trunzoand Rev. Wilbur Rodkey officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Auburn Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Franklin Memorial United Methodist Church or Butler Memorial Hospital

 Dean,  Ella Mrs. age 84 years of Rd, Markleysburg, Pa died Saturday Feb. 10 1968 at her home.  She was born Mar. 26 1883 in Fayette County the daughter of the late Springer and Ellen Bryner Holland.  Surviving are the following children Mrs. Gladys Jackson, Ohiopyle Mrs. Goldie Hall Indian Head Pa. Mrs. Maudy DeBerry Ohiopyle  Opal Dean Chalk HIll Mrs. Edna Woodmancy Ohiopyle, Harry D. of Fairchance Melvin of Rd  Mrs. Dollie Silbaugh  Farmington  and Samuel  of Ohiopyle ; forty one grandchildren and fifty nine great grandchildren  one brother  Springer Ohiopyle.  Friends will be received at Humberts Funeral home.  Interment  will follow in the Belle Grove cemetery.

   Carr, Eliza Jane aged 67 years lifelong resident of Dunbar, died Monday, January 20, 1947, at 3:30 am following a lingering illness.  Mrs. Carr was a Past Counselor of Good Luck Council 171 of Daughters of America, Past President of the American Legion Auxiliary, and of the American Legion Auxiliary Hughes Post 146 and was one of the oldest members of the Franklin Memorial Methodist Church of Dunbar.  Her husband, Hugh Carr, preceded her in death November, 1945.  Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. David McFarland, of Connellsville; two sons, Herman, of Dunbar; Walter, of Greensburg; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; three brothers, James William McClain, of  Dilliner; John , of  New Geneva; Harry , of  Mt. Braddock;  two sisters, Mrs. Dennis Martin and Mrs. Newton Martin, of  Dunbar.  Friends are being received in the Burhans Funeral Home, Dunbar, until 12 noon Wednesday, January 22, the body will then lie in state in the Franklin Memorial Methodist Church until 2 PM the hour of service with Rev. W. S. Hamilton officiating.  Interment in Mt. Auburn cemetery
