 Holland, Harvey New Salem March 25. Harvey Holland aged about 70 years, died at his home east of this place at 8 O'clock am Tuesday March 24, 1896.  Death resulted from consumption and other complications.  He is survived by his wife and a large family.  Deceased was father of T. J Holland, principal of the New Salem school/  Funeral services Thursday at 10 o'clock am interment at this place

   Holland Fred 53 years old, died at his home in Mount Braddock February 23 after a long illness.  He was crippled his entire life.  The deceased was a son of Ellis Holland.  He is survived by 5 brothers; James W of Uniontown: Frank N, Robert H, Charles and John of Mount Braddock and a sister Mrs. Elizabeth Williams of Fairchance.  The funeral services were conducted last Sunday by Rev. David Minerd, of Dunbar.  The interment was made in the Percy Cemetery.

   Holland, Benjamin King - aged 69 11 Springer Ave, Uniontown died in the Uniontown Hospital, Sunday January 13, 1983 at 3:28 am.  He was the husband of Harriett Malone Holland, born January 16, 1893 in Menallen Township, he was the son of Martin Hess Holland and Mary King Holland, and had spent his life in Fayette County.  He was a member of the Central Christain Church, was secretary-Treasurer of the church Sunday School and he served as deacon and trustee and assistant treasurer of the church.  He was a member of the Life Underwriters Assn., Fayette Lodge 228 F & AM, Uniontown Lodge of Perfection, 14th degree; Pennsylvania Consistory 32nd degree of Pittsburgh.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by these children, Ivan A; and Melvin H, Hobart, INd: S/Sgt Kenneth with US Marines, Albany, Ga; four grandchildren; one brother Dr. William T Holland Sr. Springdale.  Friends will be received in the Edward E. Minerd Funeral Home 196 E Main St Unionton Interment in Salem View Cemetery

   Holland Nancy Hansel of Farmington wife of Dennis B. Holland deceased, died November 12.  She was 76 years old.  She was a member of Presbyterian Church for a number of years and was respected by everybody who knew her.  She leaves 3 children to mourn her loss one daughter Mary F. Bishoff, and George W Holland Farmington; and Joseph B. Holland of Otto. Alleghent County, Pa.  Deceased was a sister to the late Squire George W Hansel. The funeral was on Wednesday from home. Services conducted by Rev. Marshal Weller, interment in the Hansel burying grounds. Date of obit Novemeber 16, 1900

   Holland Dennis One of Wharton townships old and respected citizens died Sunday morning January 22, 1893 about 4 o'clock.  Deceased  was about 75 years of age and had resided near Farmington for many years.  His wife and three children; Joseph. Mary and George survive him, all being married.  Death was caused by a series of strokes, the deceased being unconscoius for nearly a week previous to his death.  Funeral Monday January 23 rd at 10 AM

   Holland, Edward Ellis aged 76 husband of Beasie P. Holland 452 Coolspring St. died in the Uniontown Hospital Wednesday July 8 1964 at 2:50pm.  In addition to his widow he is survived by three sons Robert E., Uniontown, James E. Falls church, Va.,Floyd  A. Denver Colo.; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren several nieces and nephews .  He was a son of the late James W. and Julia Ann Recknor Holland. He was a retired blacksmith.  He was  a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church.  Mens Bible Class; Woodmen of the World and the Circle Club.  The family will receive friends at Harold B Gleason Funeral Home. Interment in LaFayette Memorial Park

   Holland, Frank M. aged 67 years  a life long resdient of Mt. Braddock Pa. died suddenly while husking corn in a corn field near his home. Mr. Holland was the son of the late Ellis and Rachael  Hogsett Holland.  He was a man of Christian character and will be missed by a large circle of friends.  He was a member of the Mt. Braddock  M. P.  church  and also was affiliated with the JR.  O. U. A. M. belonging to the local 187.  He had  been employed as egineer for the W. J. Rafney company for the past 37 years.  Mr  Holland  is survived  by his widow, Mrs Alice Holland and the following children Mrs William H Gare of Connellsville, Charles of Allison, Mrs. Fred B Bushock of Uniontown, W E. at home Benjamin of Uniontown anf Mrs A F Tuning of Coolspring  and twenty grandchildren also by the following brothers and sisters John and Charles of Mt. Braddock and Mrs. Elizabeth Williams of Uniontown Funeral services will be held at his late home. Interment will be in the Sylvan Height cemetery

   Holland, Sara Jane age 85 daughter of the late John McDowell died early  Thursday morning at the home of a son Edward Holand in Ferguson.  In addition to the son Edward she leaves three other children; Mrs. Rebecca Provance, Dunbar; Mrs. Pearl McClain, Mt Braddock and Mrs Raymond Cole,  Fredericktown; 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be conducted at Edward Holland Residence.  Interment will be held at Mt. Auburn cemetery

   Holland George aged 35 years, son of Mrs. Sarah Holland of Farmington. died in the St. Elizabeth hospital,Washington D.C.. Thursday. September 24, 1925.  Mr. Holland who was a veteran of the World War was gassed and had been in the hospital since 1920.  The body will arrive in Uniontown this morning and will be taken to the American Legion Home on North Gallatin avenue from where funeral services will be held.  Interment will be in the Sandy Hill cemetery

   Holland, Tillie Eicher-age 78 years of RD #4 Uniontown, died in the Uniontown Hospital Friday May 15, 1970 at 2:55 pm.  She was a member of Central Christian Church and the Rebekah Lodge of Uniontown. Her husband Joseph  Dennis Holland preceded her in death in 1945.  Surviving are two sons Charles Franklin Holland of Akron, Ohio and Robert Willis Holland of New Castle; one daughter Mrs. Mildred Jones of Oxlan, Fla; 12 grand children; 3 great grand children; and one sister Mrs. William (Emma) McKee of Uniontown.  Friends will be received in the Edward E Minerd Funeral home 196 West Main St. today from7 to 9 pm; Sunday from 12 to 3 pm and 7 to 0 pm. Monday until 1pm the hour of service with Dr. Earl P. Confer her paster officating interment will be in Chalk Hill Luterran Cemetery

 Holland,  William J. age 73 years of Waltersburg, P.A. died in the uniontown Hospital Thursday morning, December 20, 1973 at 6:57.  He was born July 5, 1900 at Layton, Pa. son of the late John and Jane Tressler Holland.  He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Waltersburg.  He was a retired coal miner, and a member of UMWA.  He is survived by his wife, Pearl Beatty Holland; two sons Edward of Yonkers, Ny.  Delmar of Waltersburg; two grandsons, Robert and Kenneth Holland; and one granddaughter, Debra Holland. Friends will be received in the Dearth Funeral Home, New Salem afetr 7 p.m. Friday and until 1:30 pm Sunday the hour of service with Rev. Wayne Miller his pastor officiating.  Interment in Pleasant View Cemetery, Smock.

   Holland, Rose Ann widow of the late Harvy Holland of Menallen Township, died at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, September 20.1898. of comsumption of the bowels, aged 72 years.  Deceased was the daughter of the late Matin Hess of Redstone Township and was married to Harvey Holland in 1852.  To them were born 9 children; eight of whom survive; Martin, John, Thomas, and Albert; Elizabeth Ann wife of Uriah Higanbothan. Mary Ellen wife of Nelson Short;  Eliza wife of John Wood; Susan Martha wife of Robert Woody; all the children reside in this county.  Her husband died three years ago.  Deceased leaves one brother, Louis P. Hess and two sisters Maria Hess and Mrs Samuel Smock.  Three brothers Matthew, G.W. and John.  and two sisters Priscilla (Daugherty) and Mary are dead.  She had been a member of the C.P. church since early life.  Funeral on Friday; meet at the house 10 am services in the C.P. Church at New Salem; Interment in the C.P. cemetery at that place

   Holland, John W  Died at his home in Menallen Township, Fayette County, Pa at 11 am on Friday Jan.26, 1900 of consumption aged about 41 years.  Deceased had been declining in health for some time, but his death came suddenly and unexpectedly, as he had been about the house as usual just before he was taken with hemorrage of the lungs, and he died in a few minutes.  He leaves a wife who was Magdalene Fretz, and 6 children one child being dead.  He was the son of Harvy Holland deceased and leaves three brothers Martin, Thomas and Albert and three sisters Mrs. Uriah Higinbothan, Mrs. John H Wood, and Mrs. Mary Short.  Funeral on Sunday at 11 am interment in Sandy Hill

 Holland Margaret Pearl aged 50 wife of Leonard S Holland died at 11:10 AM Thursday in her home at Clarksburg, W. Va.  Surviving in addition to her husband are four children Mrs Mary Katherine Haines, Uniontown; Mrs Ella Margaret Powell, Weston, W Va; Arietta and Leonard George at home; and one grand child Marjarie Jo Powell, Weston. Her mother Mrs. Sarah M Bosley of Uniontown and one brother George Windgrove of Greensboro also survive.  Mrs Holland was preceded in death by her father Samuel C. Windgrove.  Mrs Holland was a member of the First Methodist Prostestant church, Uniontown and the auxlilary to the brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen.  Short services will be held in Clarksburg, on Sunday the body will be brought to Uniontown  where additional services will be held at 2:30 PM in the house of Mrs Holland's mother.  Burial will be in Park Place Cemetery
