Ramage, John L. age 64 years of Lemont Furnace died in the Uniontown Hospital Thursday January 16, 1958 at 5:15 pm. He was born in Lemont Furnace, December 2,1893 the son of the late Christopher and Rebecca Fuller Ramage. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the U.M.W.A. and American Legion Post 51, of Uniontown. He is survived by his widow, Clara Ramage and one son, John Robert of Lemont Furnace. He is also survived by four step children; Mrs. Eva Stickles of Shady Grove; Mrs. Mildred Brooks of Lemont Furnace, Mrs. Mable Conteen of Uniontown; and Edward Richey of Lemont Furnace; three brothers and four sisters, Mrs. Jane Williams and Mrs. Margaret Crossland, Lemont Furnace; Mrs. Nora Hoff, Coolspring; Mrs. Belle Hughes, McClelandtown Road; Joseph, George and Richard, Lemont Furnace; also ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Friends are being received at the late home, House 291 Lemont Furnace, where services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2L30 with Rev. Ray Kirkpatrick, officiating. Interment will follow in the Sylvan Heights Cemetery, under the direction of the Burhans Funeral Home, Dunbar

Smitley John B. Dunbar Oct. 7 aged 83 years died Tuesday evening Oct. 6, 1908 at the home of his son-in-law James Morris. The deceased was a lifelong resident of Fayette county and a son of Michael Smitley a veteran of the war of 1812. Mr. Smitley married Miss Charlotta Lowry and she died about two years ago. The following nine children survived: Lewis, Mrs. Mary Morris, Mrs. Hannah McClain, Jacob, George , Lincoln and Mrs. Thomas Jose; Dunbar Rueben, in the west and Mrs. William Patterson Birmingham,Ala. The deceased was a member of the Baptist church.

Smitley, Smalley J. aged 65 Toledo O and formerly of Dunbar died Sunday April 30 1961. A veteran of World War I and was employed by the Wabash Railroad. He is survived by one son James two daughters Mrs. Dorothy Watson and Mrs. Marie Stockdle all of Baltimore, Md. one sister Frances Rusche , Toledo O. Born in Dunbar, July 18 1895, he was a son of the late Michael and Nan Martin Smitley. Friend swill be received at Burhans Funeral Home. Interment will be in Franklin cemetery
Smitley Rueben Mrs. aged 62 years wife of Rueben Smitley died Thursday morning May 12 1926 at 3 o'clock at her home at Pechin. Besides her husband the following children survive. Mrs. Christine Hardy and Mrs. Thomas Rhodes of Dunbar, Mrs. Orval Frazzee of Uniontown, Mrs. John Hardy of Greensboro, James M and William Smitley of Van Meter. A brother William Mayfield and a sister Mrs. Delia Lehman both of Revere also survive.

Smitley, Stanley age 32 of Colorado Springs, Colo., formerly of Smithfield, died Sunday in Amarillo, Texas. He is survived by his parents, Thomas and Ethel Smitley of Smithfield; his wife, Lynne Cash Smitley; three children, Stanley Douglas Smitley Jr. of Paducah, Ky., Stanley Douglas Smitley III and Ramanda Smitley both of Smithfield; four brothers Thomas E. Smitley of Smithfield, Samuel Smitley of Fairchance, Robert Smitley of Oliphant Furnace, and Donald Smitley of Smithfield; a sister Sandra Smitley Clark of Masontown; and his maternal grandmother, Barbara Jane Core of Carmichaels. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2 pm in Nilan Apostic Church, Lake Lynn.
Smitley Nannie Mrs. age 41, wife of Michael Smitley, died Sunday evening at 8 o'clock, November 21, 1897. The funeral will be held today from their residence on Furnace Hill; interment in Franklin cemetery

Smitley, J. B Mrs. Dunbar June 26 died at the home of Thomas Jose in Dunbar township on June 19, 1906, aged 79 years four months and seven days. She leaves nine children living, 11 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters. The children are: Louis L. Jacob, Rueben; George, Abram L. ; Mary, wife of James Morris; Hannah wife of Perry McClain; Kate wife of Thomas Jose; brothers John Lowery and Jacob Lowery, both of Dunbar township; sisters Mrs. William Hardy of Dunbar township, Mrs. Esther Wolf of Massachusetts, Funeral services at the residence of Thomas Jose at Pechin, her former home conducted by Revs. F.M. Cunningham of Ohiopyle, P.T. Dennis of Dunbar church and assisted by the Revs. James O. Martin of Dunbar township and D.E. Minerd of Dunbar borough. Interment at Franklin cemetery, June 21 at 1:30 Pall Bearers were six grandsons

Tressler William M aged 79 years a farmer residing on the Mapel Sumit road, near Ohiopyle, dropped dead about noon Monday April 27, 1925 from heart disease. He was stricken while on his way to his home for lunch. Together with his son he had been planting pototoes throughout the morning and seemed in excellant health. His son Hartzell was with him when death occured. Deceased was born in Ohiopyle and had lived on the farm for about 26 years. Recently he disposed of the place to Hartzell and planned to retire. He is survived by three sons Hartzell, Lincoln, and Ellis all of Ohiopyle and two daughters Anna of Mount Braddock and Mrs Burnsworth of the same place.
