I have responded to your previous fax on 4 December 1997, a copy of which was sent again earlier today.

I do support your project wholeheartedly and has no intention of interfering with the work you will present. I none the less still need answers to a few practical issues, which I will try and sort out telephonically if you can please call me urgently. (Done!)

I am on sick leave for the rest of this week and will be on holiday from 22 to 27 December, but please do not hesitate to call me on the cellular phone.
