The Lost Britney Spears Interview!

This is an oldie but a goodie. A forgotten interview lost in the vaults of EAR CANDY

Flashback...before her Pepsi commercials.

I was doing some housecleaning at the EAR CANDY web page and came across something I had almost forgotten about. My Britney Spears interview from November of 1998 when Brit was opening for N'Sync at their Atlanta concert. Why did I even bother trying to interview her? Isn't EAR CANDY a music magazine, not a teeny-bop rag? I don't know, call it morbid fascination? Why didn't I use the interview in EAR CANDY? Well, the reason will be apparent when you read it...

Note: the following is a TRUE story and I have a cassette of the interview and the autographs to prove it!


E.C.: I know you have a background in show business, with the Mickey Mouse club, etc. But, how did you decide what type of music to perform?

Britney: Well...I was just thinking, "what would make the most money?"

E.C.: Would you ever consider performing at the Lilith Fair?

Britney: What's that?

(At this point I turned off the cassette recorder!)
