A Tale of Two Jawbreakers

Introduction:

It`s a dark time,the eds have split up,but worst of all, THERE ARE ONLY TWO JAWBREAKERS LEFT IN THE WORLD!!!!! Who will get them,and who will survive?

It was a dark and stormy summer day in a well known cul-de-sac. Three boys were digging in their backyards. Eddy didn`t want to share the jawbreakers so he dug alone. "When I get those jawbreakers I`ll capture

Double-D and make him use his science to make more." said Eddy with a mouthful of drool. "I can`t believe Eddy is once again being selfish and hogging the jawbreakers, said an angry Double-D,Honestly.he has a few things he needs to learn,right Ed?" "If only we had a duck."said Ed. "I should have know."said Double-D.

About an hour or so later...

"What are you guys doing here?"asked Eddy. "It`s quite simple Eddy,said Double-D,We`re going to prove to you that selfishness won`t get you anywhere." "You know Double-D,we can`t get through this tunnel alone,said Eddy, why don`t we rejoin forces! Your genius and...um...your genius." "And my dryer lint."said Ed. "It would be a good idea to team up,said Double-D,but when we get to the jawbreakers we`ll make a compromise." "No problem." said Eddy.(yeah right)

A few hours later...

"We`ve been walking for hours,are we almost there?" asked Eddy. "Don`t worry I`m sure...do you hear a low rumbling sound?"asked Double-D. "That`s just my stomach as it`is running on empty."said Ed. "I don`t think so Ed. At this close to the earth`s core it could be..."

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

Lava started bursting out of the ground like a volcano! "What are we going to do?!"screamed a panicing

Double-D. "We`ve got to...WOAH!"screamed Eddy as he fell down one of the holes made by the lava. "Don`t worry Eddy I brought some rope!"said Double-D. "Ed,tie this around you and jump down to save Eddy." "Okey Dokey Smokey!"said Ed. "Smokey is what I`ll be if you don`t hurry!"screamed Eddy. Ed jumped down while Double-D held onto the rope and grabed his hand before the rock that Eddy held broke and fell into the pool of lava.

When they got back up the walls on the right side of the tunnel opened up and there were two pillars each labeled

jawbreaker,but there was nothing on them. "Where are they?"asked a confused Eddy. "Hi guys! What took you so long? Plank and I already ate the jawbreakers. They were under the cul-de-sac manhole."said Johnny as he pointed to the ceiling where sure enough there was the manhole where they looked for clams. "Aw,give me a break!"said Eddy.
