Edd's "Double" Trouble

One night, Edd was getting ready to go to bed. He checked his room to see if anyone was there. Then when no one was in sight, he locked his door and covered the windows, so no one will be able to see what he was about to do. He checked again. No one was in his room. "Much better," he said to himself. He removed his hat and placed it on his nightstand table. "Oh my!" he said. "Ed and Eddy are coming over tomorrow to play our usual scams on the kids in the cul-de-sac. I better wear this small pantyhose on my head so they won’t see me with nothing on my head. Just to be safe." He put on the pantyhose on his head, and tried to sleep. It soon got hot in his room. Edd felt very uncomfortable. He woke up at about 2:30 in the morning. He got up and opened his window, because he has no air conditioning. After that, he tried to go back to sleep.
"HEY DOUBLE D!!!!!" shouted Ed and Eddy, who were standing next to Edd’s bed. "But I’m very sleepy, sleepy, sleepy, " Edd said, and went back to sleep. Eddy had an idea and whispered his idea to Ed. "DOG PILE!!" they shouted, scaring Edd. "Don’t do that!" Edd shouted. "You know I hate it when you guys scare me like that!" "Who cares?" Eddy asked, carelessly. "Care about what?" Ed asked. "What’s with the pantyhose, Double D?" asked Eddy. "That’s for me to know and you to find out, Eddy," Edd said. "Double D looks funny. Ha, ha, ha," laughed Ed. Edd went over to his nightstand table and looked for his hat. "Oh, no!" Edd shrieked. "My hat! It’s gone!" "So?" said Eddy. "Don’t you see it Eddy?" Edd sobbed. "I can’t go out looking like this! It would be so embarrassing! Just think of it, Eddy! I‘d do anything to get my hat back! Oh no! This is not good!" "I know who took it!" Ed said. "Who?!" Edd asked, nervously. Ed responded, "It was the 3-eyed monster from the planet Pluto. It used Double D’s hat for shopping in the hidden caves and taverns of the cold planet." Just then, Eddy thought up a plan on how to get Edd’s hat back and also making a profit at the same time. "I got it!" Eddy said. "Hey Double D! I know how to get your hat back." "You do?" asked Edd. Eddy explained the plan, and the trio headed out to find Edd’s hat and money.
Later on, they soon saw Kevin and Nazz passing by. Edd was ashamed, because he thought that Nazz wouldn’t like him for wearing pantyhose on his head instead of his casual hat. When they reached Edd, Nazz just giggled by the way Edd looked. "What are you doing here, dork?" asked Kevin. Edd tried to explain, but Eddy popped out and said, "Hey, Kev! Have you seen Double D’s hat anywhere?" "Why?" Kevin asked. "Oh, no reason," Eddy said. "It’s just because if someone finds his hat, he’ll show the person who found it, see what he was hiding." "But Eddy-" Edd said, tried to speak. "Be quiet Double D!" Eddy whispered to Edd, Closing his mouth. "Ed, make sure that Double D stays quiet." "Yep," replied Ed. "So Kev," Eddy continued. "How about it?" Kevin got really annoyed at Eddy’s actions. "DORK!!!" he shouted. "Come on Nazz, let’s leave this trio of dorks." "Al right Kevin," Nazz said, still giggling about Edd’s looks. Edd felt embarrassed in front of Nazz, and his whole face turned as red as his shirt.
The Eds soon asks all the kids in their cul-de-sac. They asked Johnny and Plank, who didn’t know where the hat was, Sarah, who threw them out of the house, Jimmy, who ran away in fear of the Eds, and Rolf, who shared one of his stories about his family. The Eds couldn’t take much more of his stories and they left, without him knowing.
"That’s it!" Eddy shouted. "But Eddy," Edd said. "I can just go to the store and buy a new hat. Let‘s quit this, please Eddy." "No way!" Eddy responded. "Of all of our scams, I don’t want this one to go bad! Okay, Double D?!" Eddy yelled. "Eddy," Ed said. "What about the Kanker Sisters?" "Not the Kankers!!!" Edd cried. "No way!" Eddy shouted. "There is no way I’m going to go ask the Kankers for Double D’s hat!"
"How did I end up over here?" Eddy said, sarcastically. "I don’t know Eddy," Ed said. "Why?" The Eds soon found themselves at the "Park n Flush" trailer park, where the Kanker Sisters lived. "We need a way to get passed the Kankers, but what?" Eddy wondered. "I know! ¯Oh, Double D.¯" "I know," Edd said. Edd got a diguise that he had made before. "Let’s go!" Eddy said, and they went up to the Kankers’ trailer, with caution not to get caught.
The Kankers heard a knock on their door, and thought that it was their "boyfriends." They faught each other to answer the door. It was Marie who answered it. They got really excited when they opened the door. When they opened the door, they saw a "man." "Excuse me ladies," Eddy said in the manliest voice he can get. "Have you seen this hat?" Edd, who played the arms, held out a picture of his hat. Marie thought that the hat looked really familiar. "Hey Lee! Hey May!" she yelled out to her sisters. "Doesn’t that hat look like Double D’s hat?" "Yeah!" said May. Lee tried to look at the "man" more closely. Edd, who had gotten a bad feeling of what might happen, tried to reason to Eddy about leaving, "Eddy, can we please end this?" "It’s too late for that now Double D," Eddy whispered to Edd. Ed heard Edd’s plea and he popped out of the disguise and said, "Well then, if you see it, tell it to Double D." Edd and Eddy knew they were caught. "Ed!!!" they yelled.
The Kankers, who were so happy and excited to see them, shouted with glee, "Look! It’s our boyfriends, the Eds!" "Let’s kiss ‘em, girls!" said May. "Run!!!!" The Eds shouted, and they ran. The Kankers had a plan on getting them back. "Hey Double D!" Marie said to her "boyfriend." "Look what I got!" In her hand was Edd’s hat. Edd was amazed to see his hat was with someone who he thought was very "unsanitary." Edd couldn’t resist leaving his hat. So, he went back. "What are you doing Double D?" Eddy shouted. Edd didn’t answer. He was hypnotised by getting his hat back. Ed and Eddy followed Edd, not knowing why. Then Lee and May held out Jawbreakers to attract Ed and Eddy to them. Lee and May knew that they can‘t resist Jawbreakers. "Here they come girls," Marie said. The Eds soon found themselves in cages. Ed and Eddy didn’t have their treat and Edd was hat-less. The Kankers knew what to do from that point. All the Eds can do is yell for help.
