James M. Brantley Family Record James M. Brantley was born in 1811 in Washington County, Georgia. He was a very prosperous farmer in Emanuel and later Johnson County, Georgia. He was married first to Mahala Young and later Nancy C. Smith. He was the father of 10 children, and is the ancestor to hundreds of Brantley descendants today. This record was made his for descendants attending a re-union of his family in 1995.
