CONSTRUCTION UPDATE:

7/7/03 - By July 4th we finished 60 acres of clearing and grubbing. If you take a look out there you'll see that all the native brush is sitting in piles. We are hoping to dry some of it out and begin making runs with the water trucks by next Monday. We moved out the heavy machines, for now so the we can begin saturating the soil before we bring them back to grade and level the land. Digging out our starting line is where we have to concentrate the most. This process I have been told will take about 3-4 weeks to do. Street improvements are scheduled to be made after this. So that the latest.

Sunoco Named Official Racing Fuel

of Mopar Drag City

Oakdale, CA - May 7, 2003: Sunoco Race Fuels has announced today that it has entered into a partnership with Mopar Drag City in Banning, California. The agreement names Sunoco as the Official Racing Fuel of Mopar Drag City. Sunoco will be the exclusive racing fuel at the first newly constructed ¼ mile drag racing facility in Southern California in more than 30 years. As part of the agreement, Sunoco will construct a fueling facility to dispense multiple Sunoco racing gasolines.

Besides providing a wide array of high-quality racing fuels for our participants, we feel that this relationship demonstrates that Sunoco is dedicated to the progress of drag racing in Southern California.

Sunoco is currently associated with many drag racing sanctioning bodies such as the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA), Super Chevy Shows, and the International Hot Rod Associations (IHRA).
