Mike Ross for President

Mike Ross - Libertarian for President in 2004

The Presidential Primary Election in Arizona doesn't count.

In Arizona the POLITICAL PARTIES select their presidential canidates. That's the Democratic, Republican, and Libertarian parties. NOT the VOTERS!

The government rulers wanted the VOTERS to THINK they were electing the Presidential primary canidates so that's why they came up with the "Presidential preference election" which sounds phoney and if it were a real election that counted it would be called "Presidential primary election". In A.R.S. 16-241 it says the voters get to

express their preference for the presidential candidate
which sounds phoney as krap because it is phoney as krap and the voters DON'T get to elect their canidate. They get to vote for their canidate and the vote doesn't count. Here is a copy of A.R.S. 16-241.A :
A. A presidential preference election shall be held on the fourth Tuesday in February of each year in which the president of the United States is elected to give qualified electors the opportunity to express their preference for the presidential candidate of the political party indicated as their preference by the record of their registration. No other election may appear on the same ballot as the presidential preference election.

The political parties select their Presidential Canidates at their conventions. Arizona law A.R.S. 243 defines this. The law says

the delegates at the convention shall use their best efforts to vote for the canidate that won the presidential preference election
But the law just says the delegates have to use their "best efforts" to select the winner of the phoney presidential preference election. It doesn't say the delegates have to vote for the winner of the phoney election. The full text of A.R.S. 243 is defined as this:
Each delegate to the national convention shall use his best efforts at the convention for the party's presidential nominee candidate who received the greatest number of votes in the presidential preference election until the candidate is nominated for the office of president of the United States by the convention,

The bottom line is Arizona's phoney "Presidential preference elections" don't count and are just a LIE the government goons told you to make you think you got to pick the presidential canidate for your party.

So even if I win the Arizona primary election I won't be on the ballot in the General Presidential Election unless the Arizona Libertarian Party selects me at their convention and tells the State of Arizona to put me on the ballot.

Phoney 2000 Libertarian Presidential Preference Election

The Arizona 2000 Libertarian Presidential Preference Election a good example how the "Presidential Preference Election" votes don't count. The results of the Libertarian Primary Presidential election are at http://www.sosaz.com/election/2000/PPE/Canvass2000PPE.pdf. Harry Brown won the Arizona Libertarian "Presidential Preference Election". These are the vote counts.
Arizona 2000 Libertarian
"Presidential Preference Election"
Libertarian
Canidate
Votes
Harry Browne 553
Larry Hines 97
David Lynn Hollist 63
But lo and behold these are the results of the Arizona 2000 General Presidential Elections (from http://www.sosaz.com/election/2000/General/Canvass2000GE.pdf) and Harry Browne the winner of the Libertarian "Presidential Preference Primary Election" is not even on the Libertarian ballot in the General Election and has been replaced by L. Neil Smith. How did that happen?

General Presidential Election
Party Candidate Votes
LibertarianL. Neil Smith5,775
Republican George W. Bush781,652
Democrat Al Gore 685,341
Green Ralph Nader 45,645

Well first the Arizona "Presidential Preference Elections" didn't count, which means the Libertarian winner Harry Browne doesn't automaticlly get placed on the ballot.

Second the Arizona Libertarian Party (ALP) having a dispute with the National Libertarian Party (LPUS) and the wanna be fake Arizona Libertarian Party Incorporated (ALP INC and often called ALP INK as an insult) dumped the LPUS canidate Harry Browne and put their own canidate, L. Neil Smith on the ballot. Remember in Arizona the political parties select the presidential canidates not the voters. That phoney Presidential Preference Election didn't count!

LPUS and ALP INC sued ALP trying to force ALP to place their minnon Harry Browne on the ballot in Arizona. But the bad guys lost, ALP won and L. Neil Smith went on the ballot in the Arizona 2000 Presidential Election.

Over $2 million wasted for phoney election

First don't blame the Arizona Libertarian Party (not to be confused with the wanna be political party the Arizona Libertarian Party Incorporated or ALP INK) for this stupid waste of money of Arizona having "Presidential preference elections" which don't count. ALP has told the State of Arizona to take their elections laws and shove them many times. Oddly the Arizona rulers have not jailed ALP members but just say "ok guys do what ever you want the election laws are not mandatory" (even though the election laws say "shall" and "must"). Probably cuz the R & D's disobey the election laws just as much as ALP but not as openly.

It's the Republicans and Democrats who want to have it both ways where a) the political parties select the presidential canidates, not the voters, and b) where they have the state funded phoney "Presidential Preference Election" which doesn't count to make the voting public think they get to select the presidential canidates for their political parties.

In this e-mail the Arizona Secretary of State tells me the State of Arizona wasted $2,176,146.25 or $1.25 (per ARS 16-250) for each registered voter funding this stupid phoney "Presidential Preference Election" which didn't count for the 2000 elections.

Think I'm on drugs and making this up?

Or just check out the stupid laws! Its all in the Arizona Revised Statues. Check out Title 16 which is election law. And I have not even touched the surface of the weird things in Title 16. Ernie Hancock can point out some weird stuff where the law makes it illegal to verify the counts on voting machines.
