The Rising Force

This one defintly my favourite book in the Jedi Apprentice books, out so far. For starters it's a lot longer than the second book, and for some strange reason Xanatos never seems quite right.

I also like the beginning where life for the young students is described, in some detail. (Ok, so I would have liked a lot more about their life at the Temple, but it would have become boring too quickly I suspect ). But little bits about everyday life in the Temple and for most Jedi is always intertesting.

Admittly, I was also a little surprised to like one of the organal characters, as much as I did. Considering how short the book is - only 171 pages. It was a young boy called Si Treemba, from a hive race. Who does trun up in the second book, but I don't know if he is any of the other books unfortuntly. :(

By now, I think everyone knows that these books are meant for children / young teens. But are very popular with adult Star Wars fans. It also seems to be very popular here in New Zealand, as I literally got the last copy of The Rising Force at the main book store..... I ended up reading one night, instaed of going to bed at a decent hour. I just couldn't fully relax, until I had finished it. (I also ended up doing the same thing the following night, with The Dark Rival).
