Little Voice

Said to Ewan's character -
"Here's me thinking of a little slap and tickle, and all you think about is bloody Dwyine!"
Ok, so that's taken a little of context but still..... :)

First off, I'm certain I would have have watched and loved this movie even if Ewan wasn't in it. He was just a very welcome added bonus, even though his character wasn't on screen nearly enough for my liking. It was more than a little odd seeing him looking like such a geek, and he does pull of the geeky character surprisingly well. (He would have pulled it off perfectly, if we didn't already know just how sexy he can be in real life :)

There is a lot of singing based numbers through out the movie, which could be annoying if you don't like the songs. (Mostly 50's and 60's females singers, if memoery serves me correctly :). And the plot is on the shakey side, unfortuntly. Also more Ewan would have been nice, but we can't have everything now can we? :)

The only thing I didn't like was the way they dragged out some of the parts. It's almost as if they were trying to pad it out, to make it long enough. Of course, these dragged the movie down noticably.

But overall, if you like the music sung, then you proberly will like the movie. If you know you don't like any of the songs, then a *lot* is going to drag. But, considering the movie is about a singer, that isn't surprising :)
