Electra the Hedgehog
Electra is NOT from any of the games, comic books, or cartoons--she is my own character. I made her up in 1996, when I first became a "Soni-holic". She is a tall, thin, yellow hedgehog of about 20 years of age with a nice but not "out-ta-HERE" figure. She is also Sonic's older sister. I should mention here that originally, she was his TWIN sister and just ACTED more mature. But I was never sure whether to have her be a twin or older--until I heard about the new French cartoon "Sonic Underground" in which Sonic is one of a group of TRIPLETS--the other two being a brother, Manic, and a sister, Sonia, and then I decided right then and there that Electra had been bumped up to Big Sister status instead of Twin status. Sure, lots of other people have made up ideas for Sonic's sister too, but I should point out I DID create Electra BEFORE I went on the internet and could SEE the other ideas. But a twin vs. a triplet is just TOO close, so that cartoon made me change it.
Although, like Sonic, she is also athletic and active, she is not impatient and hyper, and does not go around just running into things without really thinking. She's quiet and practical, and loves curling up with a good book. She's an intellectual, and is currently studying archaeology at the Knothole University. She is fascinated by ancient cultures and very good at picking up new foreign languages quickly. Currently, she is studying the ruins of Sandopolis, which are the oldest known buildings on all of Mobius--older than people originally thought, in fact, as her research has revealed. Because of this fascination with the ruins--and the fact that, as a desert hedgehog, the climate there feels a lot more RIGHT to her than it does in the Great Forest--she is considering moving to the Floating Island once she's done with college and just LIVING in the Sandopolis desert. Knuckles says that if she does that, she'll have to become a Chaotix member--in other words, she'll be one-sixth responsible for guarding the Master Emerald and must take shifts doing so alongside Knuckles, Espio, Vector, Charmy, and Mighty, to "pull her own weight". But she'll worry about crossing that bridge when she comes to it...
Her powers, if she was a game character, would include being able to shoot lightning at good distances from her hands when carrying a lightning shield, and being able to "phase" through solid objects as if they were not there when "Super" or "Hyper". She is also immune to electricity most of the time, and can swim, unlike her brother who sinks like a stone. However, if she gets wet while wearing a lightning shield, it shorts out and KILLS her! (Whereas with Sonic, all that happens is that you loose your shield.)
Her weaknesses include, like Espio, a very strong claustrophobia--to the point where she might even faint or go hysterical if it gets bad enough. She reacts to closed-in places the way her brother reacts to water.
