Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
From the story in the game's instruction manual. Nothing has been changed except for putting blanks in place of certain words.
AUTHOR'S NOTE: This "Mad Lib" is a sequel to the previous one, #6 or "The Legend of Zelda". It is suggested that you do #6 first because it sets up the characters and locations, etc. Keep track of what you came up with for #6, then use those words here. For example, if, in "The Legend of Zelda", you ended up naming the princess "Amy Rose", you would name her "Amy Rose" again here and save yourself some trouble, as well as making the two stories flow together better.
It IS possible to do this Mad Lib without doing the previous one first, however. Just a bit more confusing, is all...
At the end of a fierce fight, (Hero's Name/Famous Male) overthrew (Evil Wizard's Name/Famous Male), took back the Triforce, and rescued Princess (Princess's Name/Famous Female).
However, it is all really finished?
Many (Period of time, Plural) have passed since then.
(Kingdom's Name/Place) was on the road to ruin. The power that the vile heart of (Evil Wizard's Name) had left behind was causing chaos and disorder in (Kingdom). What's more, even after the fall of (Evil Wizard), some of his underlings remained, waiting for (Evil Wizard)'s return. The key to (Evil Wizard)'s return was the (Body Fluid) of (Hero), the (Adjective) lad who overthrew the (Evil Wizard's Title/Title) of Evil. (Evil Wizard) would be revived by sacrificing (Hero) and sprinkling his (Same Body Fluid) on the ashes of (Evil Wizard).
Meanwhile, (Hero) remained in the little kindgom of (Kingdom) and lent his hand to its restoration. But circumstances did not look very good.
One day, a strange mark, exactly like the crest of the kindgom, appeared on the back of (Hero)'s (Body Part) as he approached his (Number)th birthday. The worried (Hero) went to (Nursemaid/Famous Female), Princess (Princess's Name)'s nursemaid, who was shocked and frightened when she saw the birthmark. When she regained her composure, she took (Hero) to the (Compass Direction) Castle.
There was a door in the (Same Direction) Castle called "the door that does not open." Only the descendants of the (Nursemaid's Name) family who served the King knew how to open the door. (Nursemaid's Name) took (Hero)'s (Same Body Part that the mark is on) and pressed the back of it against the door.
There was the sound of a lock falling open, the door slowly creaked open and there on a (Noun) in the middle of the room lay a beautiful woman.
"Here lies Princess (Princess's Name)," (Nursemaid's Name) began to speak (Adverb). "(Hero's Name), the time has come when I must tell you the legend of (Princess's Name), (Verb, Past Tense) down in (Kingdom).
"It is said that a long ago, when (Kingdom) was one country, a great ruler maintained peace in (Kingdom) using the Triforce. However, the King too was a child of man and he died. Then, the Prince of the Kingdom should have become King and inherited everything, but he could inherit the Triforce only in part. The Prince searched everywhere for the missing pieces, but he could not find them.
"Then, a (Job) close to the King brought him some unexpected news. Before he died, the King had said something about the Triforce to only the (Adjective) sister of the Prince, Princess (Princess's Name). The Prince immediately questioned the Princess, but she wouldn't tell him anything. After the Prince, the (Same Job) threatened to put the Princess into an eternal (State of Being) if she did not talk; but even still, she said nothing. In his anger, the (Same Job) tried to cast a magic spell on the Princess. The (Adjective) Prince tried to stop him, but the (Same Job) fought off the Prince and continued (Verb Ending in "ing") the spell. Then, when the spell was finally cast, Princess (Princess's Name) (Verb, Past Tense) on that spot and entered a (Same State of Being) from which she might never awake. At the same time, the (Same Job) also fell down and breathed his last.
"In his (Emotion), the Prince placed the Princess in this room. He hoped that someday she would come back to life. So that this tragedy should (Frequency) be forgotten, he ordered that ever female child born into the royal household be given the name (Princess's First Name)."
From the (Noun) next to the (Same Noun the Princess is Lying On) where Princess (Princess's Name) lay in a deep (Same State of Being), (Nursemaid's Name) took (Number) (Plural Noun) and a scroll with the same crest and handed them to (Hero's Name).
"For generations, my family has been handed down these things which have been set aside for a time when a great King will come. They are written in an ancient script that no-one can read now. But you who have the crest may be able to read it. It is said that the Key to uniting the Triforce is hidden there. Now is the time for you to read it."
(Hero's Name) (Verb, Past Tense) at the scroll half in doubt, but what do you know? Although he had never seen the letters before, he could read them as if they were talking to him. This was what was written on the scroll:
"You who'll control the Triforce of the future. I shall (Verb) down to you the secrets of the Triforce. There are three kinds of Triforce--(First Triforce/Abstract Noun or Emotion), (Second Triforce/Abstract Noun or Emotion), and (Abstract Noun or Emotion). When the three are brought together the Triforce will show its maximum power. Of the three, I have left (1st Triforce) and (2nd Triforce) in the kingdom. But the Triforce (3rd Triforce) I have hidden for a reason.
"Not everybody can use the Triforce. It requires a (Adjective) character with no evil thoughts. But an inborn special quality is also needed. Unfortunately, I have not found such a person during my lifetime.
"Therefore, I have decided to cast a spell on all of (Kingdom). A crest will appear on a (Adjective) person with that character who has been brought up correctly, has had many kinds of experiences and has reached a certain age. But, what will happen if somebody else uses the Triforce before then? If misused, it will produce many evils.
"The Triforce (3rd Triforce) is hidden in the (Adjective) Palace in the Valley of (Abstract Noun). However, to enter there you must first fight the guardians and undo the "(Verb Ending in "Ing") Force". When you have defeated the guardians, which I made to prevent enemies from invading the (Same Number as the things the Nursemaid handed to the Hero) Palaces in (Kingdom), set a (Same Thing the Nursemaid Handed to the Hero) in the (Part of the Body) of the statue you find. When you have set (Same Noun, Plural) in all of the statues in the (Same Number) Palaces, the "(Spell's Name) Force" placed on the Valley of (Valley's Name) will be removed and you will be able to enter the (Palace's Name) Palace. There, you must fight the last guardian. And you can obtain the Triforce only by defeating that guardian.
"There's nothing to fear. You are the one to get the Triforce. You are the beacon of hope for (Kingdom)."
(Nursemaid's Name) implored (Hero's Name), who raised his head (Adverb) after reading the scroll.
"The magic spell cast on Princess (Princess's Name) will sure to be broken if the Triforce is used.
"Please, (Hero's Name). Unite the Triforce and save the princess. And bring back peace to (Kingdom)."
(Hero's Name) nodded silently in approval, and left the room after taking a long glance at the (Same Noun the Princess is lying on).
Then, with a magical (Noun) in his left hand and a magical (Noun) in his left, he set off alone on his long travels.
At that time, (Evil Wizard)'s henchmen were calling up new allies from the underworld, and were beginning to work (Adverb) towards the revival of (Evil Wizard)...
