A Brief Interview with Locke the Echidna

By Joshua

Josh: Good evening, folks, and welcome to the first edition of "Sonic Talk", where I feature an interview with a different character every week, or month, or whatever. Anywho, today's guest is none other than the father of the Rad Red himself, Locke the Echidna. Good evening, Locke.
Locke: Good evening, Josh. Glad to be here.
Josh: Okay, let's start with the Guardians. How long have you been with them?
Locke: All my life. I was raised by my father to be a Guardian, and trained my own son later to take my place.
Josh: Okay, so you've liked being a Guardian?
Locke: It can be stressful at times, but I wouldn't trade it for anything.
Josh: Great. Another question that's often come up is how do you and the rest of the Guardians use the key panels in Haven with those mittens on?
Locke: (laughs a bit) Well, I know it seems impractical but after wearing these things for most of my life, I can't take them off and feel comfortable. They might seem awkward, but you get used to them after a bit.
Josh: Okay, another thing I've always wondered--I've seen Knuckles fly in his games--did you teach him that, or do all echidnas know how to do that?
Locke: It comes naturally, like walking.
Josh: Okay, and one last question. Do you know if there's a possibility of you and Lara-Le hooking back up in the future?
Locke: (pause) I......don't like this line of questioning.
Josh: Oh, well, sorry about that, didn't mean to...you know...
Locke: Don't worry about it. Anything else you would like to know?
Josh: Yeah, why is there a hood on your karate top?
Locke: It's not a karate top, it's just a shirt that allows me to move freely in combat. The hood helps keep my dreadlocks out of my face.
Josh: Okay, well, that's all the time we have. I want to thank my guest, Locke the Echidna.
Locke: My pleasure.
Josh: Join us next time when our guest will be Vector the Crocodile. Good night!
