A Brief Interview With Princess Sally Acorn
By Joshua
Josh: Good evening Sonicfans! Live from Echidnaopolis, it's "Sonic Talk". This edition's extra-special guest is Princess Sally Acorn! Welcome to the show, Sally.
Sally: I was on a trip here to the Floating Island and thought it only fitting I should pay your show a visit.
Josh: Well, I'm glad you could take time from Princessing to join me here.
Sally: (Thinks) Is that even a word?
Josh: Princessing? I'm not sure, I think I just made that up. Well, never mind. So, what's new with the squirrel girl?
Sally: Well, I've been trying to expand my popularity recently. I've done a few guest-shots in other comics, such as Knuckles and a few independents. I want to get a wider fan-base, maybe appeal to an older age group.
(Suddenly, a blue streak speeds by and Sally's gone in a cloud of white index cards fluttering about.)
Josh: (Suddenly alone. His tie is on his shoulder) Um, well, I think I just had Sonic on my show for the first time, but unfortunately, he had to leave and took my guest with him!
(Pause)
Jon: So, what exactly are we going to do now?
Josh: Not sure.
(Sonic zips back, and this time Josh's hat is taken off by the wind.)
Sonic: Sorry, Josh man, just had to get my main gal Sal for a mondo mission.
Josh: Oh, well, okay, but can I interview her first?
Sonic (looks at non-existent watch) If you can do it quickly. (He sets Sally down.)
Josh: All right. Well, anyway, Sally, how exactly did you first start?
Sally: Well, the writers for DiC that were doing the second Sonic cartoon created me to add a feminine touch to the series. With Kath Soucie doing my voice acting I really wound up doing well with fans. I was one of the most popular female characters.
Josh: But not so popular in the East?
Sally: No, I'm an "All-American Girl". In Japan I'm just considered a squirrel version of Amy.
Josh: Yet in America, AMY is the unpopular one?
Sally: Exactly. But we're actually good friends--not enemies at all!
Josh: Well, nice to hear it. From the sound of Sonic's foot-tapping I'd have to judge this interview over, but thanks for coming!
Sally: I was happy to.
Josh: So, Sonic, what was this desperate mission in the first place?
Sonic: Well, you see, Chaos is attacking--
(The back windows suddenly shatter violently inwards as water pours through the studio, drenching everything.)
Sonic: (lamely) --the Island...
Josh: (spitting out a mouthful of water) Ice him for me, Sonic.
(Sonic salutes and zips off with Sally.)
Josh: Well, anyway, that's all for this edition of "Sonic Talk". Join us next time...
(Lara-Le, dripping wet, walks in holding Josh's hat.)
Lara: This seems to have washed into my apartment in that little flood, along with your bathtub.
Josh: Thank you. (Places hat, full of water, on his head--thereby further drenching himself.) I'll get the tub later.
Lara: Please do. It's right in the middle of my kitchen floor!
Josh: Join me next time when my guest will be Geoffrey St. John. Good night, Sonicfans!

curious tourists have stopped by to have a nice chat with Sally since August 30, 1999. Of course, she was whisked right out from under their noses two seconds later, but hey...
