Lair of the Unidragon, Page Thirty-Five

Kneeling over Krexx, you chant the healing spell Kyshandra taught you, then watch as her skin goes back to its normal colour and her flesh knits itself back together right before your very eyes.
"Questor!" cries Krexx. "How did you get here?"
"How did YOU get here?" you ask back.
She groans. "I dared to ask the ringmaster for a raise, he got real mad, and the next thing I knew: Poof! here I was. If only I had KNOWN he was a magician..." she trails off "Well, how did YOU get here?"
You shrug. "All the gossip seemed to indicate the Unidragon's lair is somewhere on this island. I set off down the road, then suddenly fell down some kind of shaft, and..."
"Oh, well." says Krexx. "I guess we'll never know. As long as you're here, though, I might as well give you this." She pulls her fancy gold collar off and snaps it around your own neck.
"What's this?" you ask, feeling it.
"It's magical," she says. "It makes you able to perform feats of superhuman agility. Jump incredibly high, and not get hurt when you land, stuff like that. Hey, you didn't REALLY think I did all those fancy acrobatic acts without any 'net', did you? But I seem to be out of a job now, so take it. It'll come in handy."
As Krexx says these words, there is a blinding flash of light and you find yourself outside again! A deep voice from nowhere booms,

"NOT BAD, FOR A BEGINNINER."

then nothing more.
What was THAT all about, you wonder. Of course, Krexx is still in there, but you have no idea how to re-locate that chamber and get her out. So, shaking your head, you try to get your bearings.
You're back at the crossroads. Well, you think you've had about all you want of that labyrinth that the left-hand road leads to, so which is it now, right or straight ahead?
