--Alan -- Humor List: The "Definitive" FAQ What have I created here? A list of potential questions. Not many people have asked them... so I'll answer them. It's a little out of the ordinary, but so is this site! One warning: there are a few spoilers here. If you haven't read the comic issues beyond "Metamorphosis," you'll see some new plot points mentioned. ######################################## 1. What is Elfquest anyway? * If you still need to know that, you're on the wrong text file. 2. Well... What is it? * A series of graphic novels. There were individual comic book issues, but shortly after they hit 21, they went to the local bar. 3. Can the loss of the monthly series be attributed to the shabby comic market? * Yes. However, rumor has it that Richard Pini started writing letters to other independent comics back in April 1999, and he's only finished them now. :) 4. Does Geocities exist on Abode? * Yes. This is clearly demonstrated by the fact that Rayek/Winnowill roams the world. He looks ordinary and benign on the surface, but he can reduce people (and in the same vein, copyrights) to small piles of ashes. He is like Vampire Hunter D, a solitary wolf who obeys no-one's orders... 5. How many times have Richard and Wendy appeared in the comics? * Infinite. Haven't you noticed? Every character is a reflected/distorted version of them! Of course, this includes those characters which are *not*. 6. What is the connection between Elfquest and Princess Mononoke? * Isn't it obvious? They are the same! Both are only successful outside North America. Both take a long time to reach a conclusion. The list goes on from there. 7. What will be the next project when the Reader's Collection is finished? * Mass-market tie-ins. "A Gift of Her Own" is only the beginning. The "Warpcookies" idea from April 1999 was not a joke! Therefore, expect some changes in future Elfquest projects. Leetah's proportions will expand. Young Ember and Suntop will become increasingly vital to the plot, and will likely outdo their parents in every way. I haven't even started on what will happen to Mr. Blair's art... 8. Will there be a follow-up CD to A Wolfrider's Reflections? * With musical trends in flux, this is hard to judge. However, I wouldn't be surprised to see a "private Go-Back collection." 9. You were just talking about music there, right? * Umm... 10. Yeah. Uh-huh. Can we talk crossovers? * We certainly can. 11. MAY we? * Yes. Thank you. As long as it doesn't infringe too many copyrights. 12. Elfquest and FF8. * Let's see... Cutter as Squall, Rayek as Seifer... 13. Elfquest and "The Matrix." * If you wanted the two worlds to meet... Perhaps the EQ world is just a computer simulation. Or maybe the other way around works better... To do a fusion... I'd put Suntop as Neo, and Savah as Morpheus. 14. Elfquest and Pokemon. * You want a *convincing* Pokemon crossover? Just watch the dubbed Slayers series. (You see, it shares many of the same actors--and happens to be a lot better.) 15. But who would be which character? * Very well... Ash as Cutter, Misty as Dewshine (accept no other alternative!), Brock as Bearclaw (as weird as it would be), Jessie as a watered- down Kahvi, and James as Captain Triompe. 16. Will there be more questions? * Soon. -Alan January 16, 2000
