--Alan -- Finally, a new feature for The Addiction. ############################################ Elfquest: Resurrection A guide to the graphic novel series By Alan First posted July 2, 2000 ############################################ It's been over a year since the monthly Elfquest comic ended. The fans heard all the messages and the announcements. Warp made promises: chiefly that new material would be out in due time. The new material, however, would be exclusive to a series of graphic novels. Well, after a difficult wait, the new material is finally arriving. Go to any good comic shop, or Borders store, and witness the return of Elfquest. But before you go... here's a brief guide to the new GNs. Elfquest.com, Warp's official site, provides a good overview of the graphic novels thus far. See it at Since it has not been updated in some time, I have taken it upon myself to provide readers with new information. 1. "Wild Hunt" This GN should be out now (by May 2000). It covers the prologue from the Metamorphosis issue, the five- part story on the god/monster, the bridging story, the Djun's daughter story, and the *first half* of the Lehrigen story thus far. For those who are keeping track, the Wild Hunt GN would thus end around issue 25 or so. A follow-up graphic novel is already in the works. It should cover all the stories through #33, and hopefully begin the new material! 2. "Wavedancers" Remember the 6-issue series from 1994? Only a few fans do, but those fans remain loyal. Well, it has finally been collected. All the printing is black-and- white, though a color volume might be released in the future. As for the Wavedancers series from 1996 through 1999, it should receive its own book in the next few months. More details later. -- If you have any other information on new EQ graphic novels, please let me know. My current email address is .
