Telling the Time In telling the time by the clock, both the Tagalog and the Spanish terminologies are used, with the latter pre-dominating. Both terminologies are given below, the Spanish being spelled according to the Tagalog sound system. Where the time of the day (whether a.m. or p.m.) is not mentioned, the Spanish terminology is invariably used, especially in conversations, and the a.m. or the p.m. is omitted.
1:00 p.m.	unang oras ng hapon
10:00 a.m.	ikasampu ng umaga
4:45 p.m.	ikaapat at apatnapu't limang
		minuto ng hapon or
		labinlaming minuto bago sumapit
		ang ikalima ng hapon
7:30 ikapito't kalahati or
		ikapito at tatlompung minuto
