I will attempt to answer some questions here.
My sister and I began developing ideas for a planet called Evaland years ago. Just recently, I have taken that up again, and almost everything about that imagined world has evolved into this project of mine.
Mostly, my idea of this planet was inspired by my being introduced to Einstein's thinking... He thought that if you travelled far enough into the universe, you would meet yourself coming from the opposite direction. Thus, are all things parallel? If so, then Earth, too, could be paralleled. Evaland is like Earth's twin. In many things, they are much alike. But Evaland is also very different from Earth. For example, her peoples are not developed as much in some ways; in other ways, they are more developed. Different species of plants and animals live there. Many are very VERY similar to Earth's. It would be like comparing the ancient bacteria that was found on Mars to present-day bacteria found on Earth.
Developing languages. Let me tell you, it is quite difficult and time-consuming! The alphabet is not quite so hard... If you are creating one based on the English alphabet, or a pre-existing one on Earth, then it is probably even easier. The other way to do it is to create symbols for different sounds and totally create a new alphabet on your own. Either way, it takes time to study and memorize what you have done.
I've done some concept drawings lately... Right now, my focus is on early Evalandian history. There's more to it than Lady Mishu, Heishin, and Soro. I have many other characters from many other time periods. I can't wait to see how it will evolve from here.
My sister is also still working on little bits, but she has branched off into her own world, too! It's full of interesting creatures and magic beings as well, but far, far different from mine. I'd like to see how that turns out, and maybe I'll even be able to convince her to devote a page to that stuff, so she can post up pictures, stories, and things here. :)
Well, that's pretty much everything I can think of right now... Let me know if you have a question you'd like answered!
