On October 6th, 1994 in Jakarta, Indonesia, Kyle Erik my first child was born.
Kyle And Emma have a fascinating lineage. Prior to seeing their pictures below, you might want to check out their ancestors. As you know, I'm 100% Scottish stock, their mother (we're divorced) had a German father, Swedish Estonian mother (living in Spain), German grandparents and Estonian grandparents. With Kyle being born in Jakarta and now living in the US and Emma being born in the Texas, I often wonder what sort of accent they're going to have!
On October 19th 1996, Emma Lily checked in at 03.17am weighing 2.76 Kg (6lb and 1 oz) and 48 cms (19 inches).
Emma is now eight and has really developed her own little personality. She is changing from her earlier "tom-boy" personality where she loved rolling around in the mud to becoming a young "lady". She also now loves jewelry (won't any future boyfriends love that!), makeup and dressing up. She has a hearty appetite, particularly anything sour and loves nothing better than a pickle! Both her and Kyle's favorite food is Thai with Kyle prefering a red curry and Emma a Massumum curry. Kyle is Mr. Popular is our new neighborhood and life is a constant stream of answering the doorbell - "Is Kyle coming out to play". He is getting into mechanical things now and his favorite toys are a XBox and anything with a ball. He's completely lost without some sort of sporting ball in his hands (I'm so proud!). He also loves arts & crafts and currently is devouring books about The Planets & Space. I am blessed with two great kids.
