By The Grief are a new Death Metal underground Florentine band, born in Septembre of '97. The homonymous  4 track demo, has just been published and starting from it's graphic features seems extremely professional. The cover's computer work, the band's pic and the lyrics published in the inner fold of the tape demonstrate the bands will to be as professional as they can. the demo, produced, recorded and mixed by "the Great" Dario Cappanera at Officina Studio in Livorno, (sure quality seal...) opens with a real napalm bomb, Life Functions Terminated, 3'.40'' minutes of total assault where we can hear tunes near to the sharpest At The Gates and the most brutal moments of Decide. A head-on collision tout-cour where Francesco Ristori uses his voice rhythmically, beating time in an almost a hardcore style more than using a classical Death Metal screamer approach; in some bits and pieces his vocal tone reminds Tom Araya in Reign In Blood and in others Patrick Mameli of (sigh !!!!) never forgotten Pestilence. But besides me, the main element and most tecnically prepared member of the band is the drummer Gabriele Stoppa that, surely doesn't cook up anything new, but is "heavy" and extremely precicse in every frame of this demo giving the band the necessary "grip" especially in the various tempo changes. All four pieces rape the listener from the start and it's straight edge Death Metal 'till the last second, even if the band likes to define themselves as "New School Deathcore". We hope they'll find a record contract as soon for a full length cd even if the band's genre isn't high tide anymore.

(UNCENSORED Version) I hope that this "Primo delirio" of yours will also be the last one, I have never heard so much crap all at once,  the only place where this should end up is down the drain; the recording is horrible and that's a compliment, cover and inner sleeve seem realized with a memeograph, the lyrics are very boring and sung even worse, you can barely hear the instruments, the only decent thing is the tape and it's box serigraphied and produced very well, overall a piece of shit wrapped up in a professional way !

(CENSORED Version) I hope that this "Primo delirio" of yours will also be the last one. Completely negative Demo Tape, guys everything has gone wrong here, the recording is terribly poor and so is the mixing, vocals is pretty immature, your lyrics aren't bad but they still need some working over, the cover and the general artwork are disgusting, but it's confection isn't bad. I'm sorry for all the effort you probably put in this Demo, and sure knowing that this review surely won't repay you I suggest you not to give up trying and always look ahead, because you can learn alot from your mistakes.

Andrea Confalonieri Poor, stay away from this.

The long await for the new creation of Forever Embraced is surely worth it's result. The brianzoli youngsters don't fail their debut Epic-Death success "Her Gloomy Face" followup and come back in great style with a new promo and a new Melodic-Gothic sound. The first words that come to my mind are Majesty, harmony and feeling after listening the whole Promo,  absolutly excellent cover and artwork and that's alot for a three track Promo; Forever Embraced just "another" underground band, but with this "Promo 98" they demonstrate an extremely high level artistic-composing maturity, that launches them towards new musical horizons. The meeting of the band members artistic background and their new solutions, have given the group a personal and unique sound, that can easily please  both the genre's old and new listeners. With these three tracks Forever Embraced, have surely become for me one of the best new bands I've ever had the priviledge to hear. You can't miss this. Superlative.

Hey Gringo, gimmie another fuckin' Jack Daniels can't you see I'm done with this one !?!? Hear your spurs ring and the western wind blow lifting the desert's sand; our damn thirst is killing, the Saloon doors are creacking and crazily slammin' while playing the songs of Quasar, genuine Southern Rock band from Taranto, you know ala Badlands / Pride & Glory, fat, greasy and the 13 Federal flag stars twinkling. I remember when I was 19 - 20, the unmistakable Zack Wylde myth sound raped me, and since then I can't live without it; the same thing probably happened to Vincenzo Pastano, band's guitarist, that makes his guitar squeel like a pig at the gallows, just like the Gran Master; then here and there his riffing reminds the "Sabbatical" Iommy. These four "gunners" are my kind of band ! Unfortunatly there are only two tracks on "Master Man & Country Man"; there are pleanty of good ideas, even though there are a few technical splinters here and there to clean up; the demo is recorded in a very professional way and the cover's figure is cute (an alien face divided in two, and in the background half a dollar "Master Man" and hal Federal Flag "Country Man"), but I would like to hear Quasar play hard rock a little faster and meaner, just like their masters, because the two tracks here are good but ain't "bad". The 3 skull evaluation could be 5 next time.....As long as you shoot the right bullseye !
