Barthez quits Monaco while he's been linked with Man U

Monaco goalkeeper Fabien Barthez revealed that he wants to leave his club after his coach has said that he had thrown the match against his former team Marseilles. Barthez told French daily L'Equipe he refused to remain with Monaco after he claimed coach Claude Puel had accused him of being 'paid off' by Olympique Marseille.

'Three days ago I wanted to go to the end of my four-year contract. But it is now out of the question that I work under these conditions,' he said.
