Scudetto winner to be decided in the last day of the competition

Juve now lead the Roman side by two points with one game left. If the pair finish level on points, a two-legged play-off will decide the destination of the Scudetto.

Next week, Juventus travel to Perugia while Lazio face Reggina at home.

Juve kept their noses in front thanks to a hard-earned 1-0 win at home to Parma. The goal came from Alessandro Del Piero on the hour mark. Lazio kept up the pressure by beating Bologna 3-2 away from home. South American trio Sergio Conceicao, Diego Simeone and Marcelo Salas were on target for Lazio while Bologna replied with a brace from Lazio old boy Giuseppe Signori.

Inter Milan suffered the heaviest home defeat in their 92-year history as they were thrashed 4-0 by Fiorentina in the San Siro while Torino assured themsleves of an immediate return to Serie B after losing away to Lecce. The other three relegation places were filled weeks ago - Piacenza, Cagliari and Venezia will all be demoted.
