Dimondo’s Ultimate Victory

A fanfic by Rhinoa Lunar

Chapter One

The ship was approaching the planet Earth at a very rapid pace. The Black Moon Family was feeling very anxious to attack. Years ago their ancestors had been cast off the lush green planet and forced to make shelter on a cold and desolate rogue moon at the outer edge of the galaxy. Soon they would reclaim Earth as their own and all who resisted them would be crushed. Revenge would be sweet.

Dimondo looked on the monitor that displayed a map of their path. Occasionally he would make a mild change to avoid asteroids or debris from the twentieth century space age he had studied all about while learning the history of the planet. As angry as he was for what the people of Earth had done to his ancestors he could not help but be curious that he never heard of the planet’s queen dying or even handing the crown over to a younger woman. What was this woman who could live forever? He would learn her secret before he himself killed her.

The Earth was in full view now. Wiseman appeared before the prince and requested permission to deploy the battleships. Dimondo’s brother, Saphirro cautioned that attacking immediately might not be the best way.

"Sire, if I may, they may be equipped with detectors and know that we are here. Knowing that a strange ship with nothing familiar on it may lead them to be overly cautious and have their best defenses up. Maybe we should infiltrate the court as a traveling royal caravan. Gain the trust and secrets of the military." Saphirro always had a way of convincing his brother not to jump into things so quickly, but that Wiseman was almost always ahead of him.

"Perhaps you would be right if I could not see that they are at such a peaceful time they are oblivious to danger. Saphirro, if your brother sought your council, don’t you think you would be his advisor and not me?" Wiseman was now playing to the fact that Saphirro may merely be jealous and this would not do to help the situation.

Dimondo paused and thought long and hard about his next words. "I will go with Saphirro’s suggestion that we play down the invasion until we know for sure that they are indeed as weak as you say, Wiseman."

"Surely your highness trusts in me enough to know that my powers are never wrong!"

"That may be, but I will show my brother that his opinion is everything to me. Come Saphirro, we will go to their capitol city. It is a place called Crystal Tokyo. We shall present ourselves as visiting princes before the royal court."

"You are making a terrible mistake Prince Dimondo! This will cost you the war and your life! I am sure of it!"

"Wiseman, you do wrong to speak to our prince that way," a female voice said out of the darkness. Esmeraude was standing in the shadows of the throne room. Her feelings for the prince had been no secret for quite some time now and she despised it when anyone showed even the slightest disrespect for him.

"Ahh, Esmeraude. Perhaps you would join us? We are going to the Earth city of Crystal Tokyo to earn the trust of the King and the Queen," Saphirro invited.

"Anything my Prince desires of me, is his to take. I will go."

The transport landed just beyond the palace walls where the Black Moon family was greeted by a young blonde woman. She introduced herself as the captain of the Royal Guards of the Neo-Silver Millennium, Sailor Venus.

"But you can call me Minako-san. Who are you and what do you want to do while inside the palace?"

Dimondo spoke, "We are actually the Royal members of a caravan from a distant land called ‘Nemesis’ and we were wondering if we could stay a while in this lovely city and seek audience with your leaders to let them know we are here on peaceful terms so there is no need to worry. Unfortunately we do not yet even know their names as we are from so far."

"Well Neo-Queen Serenity is our highest leader. Her husband is King Endimyon or King of the Earth as we call him. And…"

A small child runs right into Minako and falls to the ground. Immediately she begins to cry. Minako picks up the girl and says to her, "Don’t worry. It will be alright." She turns back to Dimondo, "And this is The Princess Serenity. You may call her Small Lady. Forgive me your highness but you have yet to tell me your names. I would look rather silly introducing you with no names."

"I am Prince Dimondo of Nemesis. This is my brother Saphirro. And this is the Lady Esmeraude."

"Right this way!" Minako puts the princess down they watch as she runs away laughing.

Minako walks them through a gorgeous moonlit terrace leading to the front doors.

Then he saw her. Dimondo looked over at the angel playing with the Small Lady. Her hair tucked up in two beautiful buns and flowing from them in two of the longest ponytails he had ever seen. Her white skin was flawless against even the baby soft child’s. He was breathless as he watched. He realized he was staring and quickly averted his eyes, but not in time to avoid Esmeraude’s notice of it.

"Ahh, Minako-chan! I have been curious about these guests since I first heard of their arrival," the angel said.

Minako bowed down to the woman before introducing the party. "Your Majesty, this is the Prince Dimondo, his brother Saphirro, and the Lady Esmeraude of the planet Nemesis."

"I am most pleased to make your acquaintance. I trust that your journey was a pleasant one? Please come with me I am to put my Rini to nap then we can talk more."

They followed the queen into the great hall of the palace. "The sitting room is over there. Please do make yourselves at home. I will be right with you. I believe my husband Endimyon will be there shortly."

Dimondo watched as the angel walked away. His heart sank when he heard her say husband. Whoever he was, he wasn’t good enough for her. He was the only man worthy of her. Somehow he would have to prove it. He always got exactly what he wanted.

"I must have her for my queen! No other deserves such perfection! Am I not the Prince of the most powerful dark army in the universe? She will be mine," Dimondo said aloud. His violet eyes twinkled at the thought of her.

Dimondo felt himself slipping away into the madness of her beauty. He envisioned her entering the room again. She walked towards him directly. With her arms stretched outward she beckoned him to come forward. He gladly came to her in a lustful embrace. Their mouths engaged in the most passionate kiss he had ever felt. Teasing each other with their tongues they ignored everyone around them. The very world ceased to exist.

Then, tangled in the eagerness of the embrace, the Goddess broke the kiss and spoke. So much like an angel was her voice that he closed his eyes to revel in its tenderness as she said, "Let us get to know each other better, my Prince. I do tire of this life. Perhaps you could help me. I believe what this court needs is a new addition as well as a subtraction." She laughed sexily. "Should I like what I find in you, I may have an opening in the position of king."

"King Endymion," Dimondo’s fantasy had been brutally interrupted by the arrival of his newfound enemy, the Queen’s true love, King Endymion of the Earth.

Dimondo looked the man over. The king certainly was a fine looking man, but he could not even compare to his own dashing appearance. His hair was far too conservatively short and did not suit him. His clothing was, well, very outdated. It was as though he had learned how to dress during the first Silver Millennium. That was indeed impossible! There was no way this man could have been alive to see that catastrophe!

As these thoughts invaded the usually calm and collected prince’s mind, his angel entered the room. Her movements were so delicate. She seemed to float into the room rather than walk. Dimondo could not bear to see her greet Endymion. That kiss should have been for his lips! Dimondo was quickly becoming enraged.

"So where are you fine folks staying during your visit?" This was the king speaking.

"Well we hadn’t really thought much about it. Is there any place that Your Majesties would recommend? We would value and honor your opinion most of all," Saphirro responded quickly. He could see that his brother was greatly distracted, by what he was not entirely sure, but something had him deeply troubled.

"We would be most honored if you and your entourage would stay here in our palace," Serenity said. "That is if you don’t mind being waited on hand and foot and seeing the entire city from your rooms. It is quite a lovely view."

"Yes of course we would stay here as your guests. It would be my pleasure to spend time in your company," Dimondo said directly making eye contact with the queen.

Endymion became tense when he saw the underlying flirtatious nature to Dimondo’s comments. How dare he! In his own house! And now this son-of-a-bitch was staying at his house for who knew how long!

"Darling," the kings thoughts were interrupted by the sweetness of his queen’s words. "Dimondo was just telling me that he has never had ice-cream in his life. I was attempting to describe it to him but you are so much better with words than I…Would you?"

"Ice-cream? It’s cold and can be wow, uh, lots of flavors," he said running his hand through his hair.

"Why don’t you go and rest for a while, dear. You don’t look so well. I will take our guests on a tour of the city."

"Allow me to help you, my lord," Minako insisted.

Minako took the king’s arm and led him out of the room. Now all Dimondo had to do was lose his entourage and he would have her alone.

"Actually, my queen, my entourage is quite tired from the journey and would like to be seen to their chambers for rest before joining you for dinner. Perhaps it will be just you and I on this little adventure?" Dimondo gave her an irresistible smile.

"Well, all right." The queen then lifted up her arm and began talking into a device on her wrist. "Ami-chan, can you see our guests and their belongings to their suites. Makoto-chan, find me something suitable to wear on an exscourgan in the city."

"Dimondo, I shall be with you shortly. Allow me to change my attire for the day and then we shall be on our way." With that the queen exited the room.

"Dimondo, what in the hell has gotten into you?" Saphirro was scolding him. "You have already managed to get the king upset!"

"Saphirro, don’t fret. Our little Prince’s got the hots for that Serenity woman. He’ll get over it when we get into battle," said Esmeraude hopefully.

"She is perfection is she not? Her eyes, ahh that they would look at me with longing would be heaven," the dark prince sighed.

"Ahem!" A scholarly young woman stood before them. Her short blue hair glistened from wetness and her glasses had a small foggy tint to them. "My name is Ami. I am the Royal Physician and also a hand servant to her majesty the queen. I have come to escort you to your rooms."

The Dark Moon Family gathered up their belongings and headed towards the door. Dimondo took his place on the red velveteen sofa. He would be sitting there casually when his queen came back.

"Oh! That will never do," Ami exclaimed. With the snap of her fingers two young men appeared to gather the bags.

The taller one was rather unkempt and scruffy looking. He wore his hair over his face hiding his eyes and was quickly instructed by Ami not to speak. The shorter one eyed Ami as he lifted two of the suitcases. He had deep brown eyes and wore a simple navy blue shirt over a pair of dark blue pants.

"Show these people to their suites. Whatever bags do not belong to them are for the third suite. Greg, would you please watch out that Chad doesn’t speak? The king was very upset about his singing to the last guests. They didn’t even stay one night," Ami kissed Greg quickly on the cheek before turning around. "I am going back to my swimming."

"So who is this guy? Do we even know his intentions? Nemesis means enemy Usagi-chan. Or hadn’t you realized that?" Makoto did not mean any disrespect; this was just her way of curbing the old Usagi from returning.

"Makoto, I believe this man has an alternative agenda as well as you do. Perhaps I can either persuade him to let it go or at the very least find out what it is."

"For your sake, I hope you are right."

Serenity entered the sitting room where Dimondo was seated upon the sofa in a manner most regal. The queen found herself thinking strange thoughts about him as she watched him rise.

Like how handsome he was, and how poised. How his hair sat on his head just right. How his voice sounded like a symphony. How…

"Are you ready my queen?" Dimondo smiled. ‘How wonderful,’ he thought. ‘She is already taken by me. I am in.’

‘Why is he grinning like that? Can he read my thoughts? I’d better not keep thinking about how drop-dead gorgeous he is. Oops!’

Dimondo let out a soft chuckle. "Shall I treat you to some of this ice-cream that you spoke of? It sounds heavenly."

"Sure. Your…"

"Dimondo. There need be no formalities between us if you would allow me the honor of addressing you as Serenity," he grinned.

"Alright, Dimondo."

"Serenity"

The ice-cream parlor had every flavor imaginable. Dimondo almost lost his composure when he bit into his double-fudge-mint-cookie-dough sundae topped with rainbow sprinkles and chocolate candies. How could a world so horrible create something so amazing? Well, there was also his Goddess with the golden hair to be explained.

He admired the way she gently opened her mouth and slipped only the tiniest bites in. Her lips had him entranced for a few moments. Then he realized something; she was staring back at him.

Feeling bold for a moment, Dimondo asked what he had been aching to ask from the moment he met her. "Are you happy?"

"What on Earth do you mean?"

"Never mind," he lost his nerve. "It was a foolish question. You needn’t concern yourself with it." ‘My darling’

The two walked through the gates of the central park within the city. It was a beautiful place with birds and flowers all around. Dimondo faithfully watched Serenity walk alongside him and hungered for her as he had never hungered for anyone before. He watched as she danced around on a cushion of air by the lake. ‘If only she would dance only with me,’ he thought.

Deep within himself Dimondo knew that she would never come to him of her own accord. While this troubled him he took it as no problem. The thought would always remain, 'I always get what I want.'

He closed his eyes and remained there in his mind for a moment. In his mind she loved him. In his mind she wanted him inside her. In his mind he was free to love her. The inviting feeling was rapidly enveloping him under its spell. He was gone in it.

The queen grasped his hand suddenly and pulled him close. She leaned her head in towards his own and wispered softly to him. "Dimondo, do you think you could take me?"

'Ahh those words! How sweetly they flowed off her tongue,' Dimondo thought.

"Dimondo?"

uh oh reality hurts

"Dimondo! I asked if you wanted to take me on one of these boats. You have been staring blankly into nowhere for five minutes. Are you alright?" There was genuine concern in her voice.

"I am fine, Serenity. The sun is so bright here. I must be dizzy."

"Perhaps we should call it a day then?"

Seeing her concern made Dimondo melt so that he yeilded to her will. "Yes I think that would be best," he said quietly.
