    • Ford Motor Company has the answer! Just contact the FOMOCO's Customer Assistance Center and  they will provide you with the info free of charge!
    The only problem is the info goes as far back only to 1967 to 1990, and takes usually 4-6 weeks, but it is free after all!

    You will need:

    1. Your car's make and model
    2. The VIN
    3. Your name and address
    Note: when calling you will have a machine giving you options.  When I called I had to press 3 for other inquiries, then pressed 1 for Ford & Mercury, then gave them my phone number, then finally spoke to a real person!
    I asked for a printout of my cars original equipment, by sending the VIN to the Technical Research Unit.
    The operator wasn't quite sure, but after checking it out he figured it out!
