Chapter 7

Snap stared up at the ceiling, lying on her back on the recharge bed. No matter how forcefully she shut off her optics or how much she tossed around on the bed, she couldn't shut herself down. Realising the situation needed remedying somehow, she rolled out of the bed and got up, deciding to walk around and see if she could settle enough to have some hope of recharging. She didn't notice the shape that appeared down the hall behind her as she left her quarters.

Bigshot smiled grimly to himself, shadowing the strolling femme. He couldn't of wished for a more perfect opportunity. Alone, isolated, and ready for the taking. He clamped a hand over his mouth to stop his manic grinning, as if she would be able to detect it. His optics locked on her sweet backside. The way it swung mesmerised him, and he had to shake his head vigorously to stop. Bigshot was rapidly trying to think of what to do next when Snap suddenly halted, her head moving from side to side - looking for something. He slid into a adjoining corridor, staring at her from around the corner. He cursed himself in Cybertronian for not taking the chance to get her earlier when she started walking again - stepping into an anti-grav lift and out of his sight. He thrust his forehead to the wall and moaned. He had no hope now. Sighing, he sank down to the floor with his back to the wall and prepared to wait her out. It was inevitable that she would come back this way to her assigned quarters; and he would be waiting. Heck, he had nothing else to do anyway.

Snap gazed at the flashing numbers in the lift. When they indicated the floor she desired, she stepped out and looked around, wondering which direction. Shrugging, deciding she had the time to wander, she chose to turn left, walking past the silent doors to the quarters of most of Metroplex's inhabitants. Many of the doors had self-made identification tags on them, proclaiming the occupant of the room and some other hilarious expression to go with it. Quite a few had ??ap grinned, She suppressed a laugh at a sign that announced the room to be the femme's recreation area, when quite obviously it wasn't. She reckoned it to be a hopeful male trying to lure ding-brained femmes into his lair for some 'recreation'. Her optics brightened when she came across Springer's room. His door was literally covered with notes and signs of all kinds - not all of them were suitable for civilised reading. She noticed the light coming from the slit under his door and smiled. She knocked hopefully.
