The heads of the d'Oraguille family have ruled the kingdom in a line of unbroken succession for more than five hundred years. The nation's fortress-like capital of San d'Oria boasts impenetrable defenses manned by a pair of stalwart military orders: the Royal Knights, who secure the kingdom's borders and lead foreign expeditions; and the Temple Knights, who maintain public security and order within the capital. |  |
Elvaan, regardless of starting area, are usually played as very devout and motivated people. Regardless of their job, the standard is to find Elvaan who deal with problems quickly and directly. Talk and politics have their place, but actions are respected foremost. In San d'Oria, this is quite pronounced. The homeland of the Elvaan has seen war and strife simply because its people aren't willing to back down or bend their will to anything.
