Henry 1.2.07

1. Bob Dylan – everything
He’s very good you know…

2. Muse – Absolution
Those military drums at the start have been known to get this cat up on his feet.

3. The Lips – At War With The Mystics

Mr Coyne is my kind of guy.  Any album with a psychedelic tribute to The Floyd called Pompeii am Götterdämmerung is fine by me.

4. Super Furry Animals – Songbook

You never know what to expect with the Super Furries.

5. The Beatles – Sgt. Pepper
Henry the horse is dancing the waltz…

6. The Kinks  - The Village Green Preservation Society
For I am the phenomenal cat!

7. Love – Forever Changes

I imagine that these young men would have taken more than just a little bit of nip…

8. James – Gold Mother
Tim is a fruitcake and clearly my kind of guy.

9. Bob Marley – Legend
My kind of man – enough said really.

10. The Coral  - Magic & Medicine

Yes I’ll have both please

Bubbling under:  Flaming Lips – Yoshimi; The Pink Floyd – Live At Pompeii, Meddle; Simon & Garfunkel - Parsley, Sage, Rosemary & Thyme; anything by The Eels

Delilah’s Top 10 2.2.07

1. Muse – Black Holes & Revelations

I don’t have much in common with the dim cat though we both share a taste for Muse.  And burn, you will burn in hell for your sins.  Feed the hex indeed!

2. Anything by Slayer or Ted Nugent

Sadly my owners don’t share my taste for death metal and songs by unrelenting carnivores…

3. Johnny Cash – Live From Folsom Prison

Songs about murder and retribution at the gallows by the man who dresses in my favourite colour

4. Manic Street Preachers – The Holy Bible

Unapologetically horrific and nihilistic…that sounds fine to me.

5. Radiohead  - OK Computer
When I am King you will be first against the wall.  We hope that you choke…that you choke!

6. Neil Young – Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere

Down by the river, I shot my baby.  Far better than his sentimental ballads Tubby.

7. Queen – Innuendo

For the fine song Delilah after which I was named.  Yes I do have an occasional softer side though this isn’t reflected by my musical tastes.

8. Meat Loaf – Bat Out Of Hell

I’m dying at the bottom of a pit in the blazing sun.  A situation I’ve left numerous small animals in during my hunting days.  I’ve now retired and have become a house cat.

9. Muse - Absolution

Not quite as much death as BH&R but still pretty apocalyptic which is fine by me.

10. Beatles – The Beatles (White Album)

Skip the acoustic ballads and go straight to Helter Skelter and the excellently named Happiness Is A Warm Gun.

Bubbling under – Black Sabbath – We Sold Our Souls for Rock’n’Roll, Motorhead – Ace Of Spades, Nirvana - Nevermind

Katie’s Top 10   5.2.07

1. Carole King – Tapestry
I have been known to use violence against any cat who happens to diss this singer-songwriter masterpiece.

2. Snow Patrol - Eyes Open

Snow Patrol are the band Coldplay could be if they just curb their urges to be experimental!  The great Gary Barlow recently anounced to the World that "I like Snow Patrol".  I for one can think of no higher recommendation!

3. Joni Mitchell – Clouds

It tells of the highs and lows faced by a young cat as she ventures out into the adult world.

4. Keane – Hopes & Fears

These young men also tell of the disappointments facing a young cat when she realises that everything isn’t quite as wonderful as she hopes in the hard world outside.

5. Norah Jones – Come Away With Me

Beautiful songs.  I’m waiting for your call for a duet Norah.

6. Carpenters – Best Of
More fine songs.  It’s a shame that Karen wasn’t around as the same time as me as she could have asked me if I would sing a song with her.

7. Burt Bacharach – Instrumental album owned by Greg

Excellent as there are plenty of gaps for me to fill with my sublime warbling.

8. Neil Young – Harvest Moon

Nice songs about a mature cat at peace with the world.  Much better than his awful noisy music.

9. Frank Sinatra – anything

Another fine singer who would have benefited from a Katie duet

10. Beatles – Sgt. Pepper

Henry the horse is dancing the waltz.  I love my poor brother most of the time…

Bubbling under:  Joni Mitchell – Blue, Coldplay – X&Y, James Blunt - Back To Bedlam, Katie Melua - Piece By Piece,
