Pokok ini adalah jenis renek memanjat. Bunganya berwarna putih. Pokok ini berasal dari India. Bunganya berjambak. Ada sejenis lagi yang berwarna biru yang lebih kecil, iaitu "Thunbergia laurifolia Lindl.". Pokok jenis putih diguna sebagai peubatan tradisi Cina.

This is a bushy climber. The flowers are white. This plant originated from India. Flowers are in clasters. Another related species is the "Thunbergia laurifolia Lindl." with smaller blue flowers. The plants with the white flowers are used in Chinese traditional medicine.

According to the book Chinese Medicinal Herbs of Hong Kong, Volume 5; Page 158, the plant are neutral, anti swelling, anti-inflammatory, heals wounds.
Two of the medical uses listed are:-
1.     Traumatic injury, fractures.
2.     Snake bites, boils.
