Pokok herba yang berasal dari negeri jajahan Perancis di Afrika, Mexico dan Guatemala. Pokoknya rendah dan berbau. Tinggi pokok antara 20 hingga 30 cm. Ada banyak jenis hybrid, yang saiz bunganya berbedza serta berjenis warna. Pokok ini dibiakkan daripada biji.

Annual herbacious plants that originated from French colonies in Africa, Mexico and Guatemala. The plants are small, dwarf and are smelly. The plant is about 20 to 30 cm high. There are many hybrids, Their flower size and colours varies greatly. The plants can be propagated by seeds.
