Pokok ini sekarang terdapat liar di Malaysia tetapi pada asalnya bukan tumbuhan tempatan. Biasa dijumpai di tanah terbiah, ladang kelapa, dan ditepi jalan. Bunganya cantik, menarik, buka pada waktu pagi dan akan tutup pada waktu petang.

This plant can now be found wild in Malaysia but is not a native plant. Common on waste land, in coconut plantations and by the roadside. The flowers are attractive, conspicuous, it opens in the morning and closes in the afternoon.
